Older CG with only limited 50 amp service. Newer section with all 50 amps, set to open but had water leak problems. Local country music shows Wednesday through Sunday evenings, but most everything else seemed closed. Interesting historic village but only open from noon to seven except when there are head-liner acts performing. The economy seems to be taking it's toll. We were here on a Wednesday night, so maybe things are better on the week-ends.
Phone service NA when we called for reservations, but gambled and came anyway. Sure glad we did. Beautiful setting and views of the west side of the Smokey Mountains. Wide sites with 12, 50 amp and service for our ATT cell phone and Verizon wireless internet card. July was terribly hot, so some more shade would have been good, but the pool cooled us off at the end of a day of travel. Owner and others were very friendly. You can tell he has put his heart into making this a great destination.
Great setting at the base of Devils Tower. Wide gravel sites with grass and full hook-ups. Lots of family activities including evening campfire, nightly showing of Close Encounters movie, breakfast and lunch restaurant and gift shop on site. Wonderful views in all directions.
Very convenient location for Black Hills attractions (1/4 mile to Bear Country). Campground seems to be geared mostly to tents, pop-ups and travel trailers. Very limited number of Big Rig sites and most of those face a heavily traveled, major highway. Very hilly location with uneven sites. Good food at complimentary pancake breakfast each morning. Friendly and helpful staff.
This is a great park for a night or a week. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful view of one of several well-stocked fishing lakes. There are several good walking trails and a well stocked camp store. We are planning another stay on our return trip to Florida.
This is a very pretty county park with level concrete pads, lots of shade and plenty of open space between sites. Tables and grills are provided and there is a great walking trail which connects to a restored historic town exhibit area. With only electric hook-ups it is fine for self-contained RVs. We will stay here again on our return trip to Florida.
