I was surprised to find they took reservations on Reserve America. When I got there though they told me RA hadn't charged me correctly and I needed to pay more money. The park was very quiet and fairly clean. There are probably about 2 dozen permanent or semi permanent sites. The office and store are only open 9 to 5. The sites are a little close and are dirt and gravel. Not good for tents and are a little uneven. The dunes are right behind the campground. The office will lend you saucers for sliding down dunes. Fires are allowed but you need to bring your own pit.

I love Oregon State parks. They are clean, well maintained and well patrolled. We stayed here for 5 nights and had a RV site and a tent site. If you like privacy, the A & B loops are best. For groups or a more open camp sites try the C loop. They had fun campfire shows and Jr. Ranger programs. It's about 1 mile to the beach so you don't get the sound of the waves, but you also don't get the shore breeze. Very nice!

We wanted a stop over spot for one night, and had a RV site and a tent site. Dean Creek is a pretty little campground right off Hwy 101. You will hear the traffic. It is an older campground that looks like it is getting some upgrades, but has a ways to go. The staff was friendly. They have a pool, spa and sauna. They have an old minature golf course that is free and was fun despite needing repairs. The sites are very close, if you have slide outs you are right over the next site's picnic table or fire pit. I was also overcharged and am waiting to see if they make it right.
