My 3rd year in a row to stay at this RV park. Pro's - location, location, location. Well worth the 'premium price you pay'. Within walking distance of downtown. For those that choose not to walk, the Deadwood trolley picks up in right front of the office/lodge. VERY clean. Paved roads throughout the park. Excellent electricial and sewer hook-ups. Trash was continously picked up during the day. We found the owner to be very friendly. Yes, he keeps a close watch on his property, but he is fair to all. Negatives - sites are very close and steep roads up the gulch.
All good! This parks location IS the reason to stay here! No other RV park in Vegas is located so near the 'strip'. This park was easy find and check-in was fast and friendly. Parking was very easy for our big rig. Hookups were excellent. No problems there Yes, the park is a big paved lot with hookups but there is a great pool, sauna and jacuzzi. We saw many children playing in the playground and pool areas. The laundry room was clean and well maintained. Although it is a fairly open area, we always felt safe. This is the BEST KOA we have stayed at.
Nice campground next to the river and Buffalo Bill's Scouts Rest Ranch. Big sites, but no pull thru's. Half the sites have 30/50 amp electric, the other half only 30 amp. There are 2 water hydrants but no rv dump. This is secluded quiet prairie place to kick back and relax. Recommend you fill and dump before arriving. Sites are gravel with a picnic table and fire ring. Like most state parks in Nebraska, it is self service on check in and a park sticker is required.
Good average RV park. Located right next to I-80 makes for some road noise. We had a 50 amp spot without shade for an overnight stay. The electric service in the morning was a little sketchy. Our under voltage alarm went off several times. Park is pretty clean for the most part. Check in was friendly. We would stay here again.
Nice RV area overall. The positives. Huge spaces, good water pressure and electric service. Concrete level pads with patios. Good showers and laundry. Beautiful views and nice community. The negatives. Poor Wi-Fi (not a big deal). Although all sites has power and water, not all sites had sewer and cable TV. Just makes me wonder: if you're trenching to install the utilities, why not install all the utilities? This is a city owned park. When you enter this in a GPS, it will take you to the city dump. Call ahead for directions.
We have stayed here before. The recent so-so reviews made me somewhat skeptical about staying again. We had NO PROBLEMS. The check in was very friendly, our gravel/level site was very nice with grass and its own fire pit and picnic table. The electric and water worked perfectly. The driveway entry is paved and well lit. The office/laundry/showers were very clean. This is the best located RV park in Deadwood. It is slightly more costly than the others, but when you take into consideration the location and that it's very big rig friendly, Whistler Gulch is well worth the difference.
We stayed here for the Barrett Jackson Auto Auction. Basically just a big dirt parking lot with water and power hookups. The location is the ONLY reason to stay here. Out rate was $400.00 for the entire week. With all that said, we had a great time and the power was always steady and good water pressure.
Super park for Big Rig Class A's. The Standard Built out site we had was really first class. This park is shaded with mature palm trees and landscaped very nicely. The price reflected a 10% discount for FMCA membership. If you really want to treat yourself to a great park, you won't go wrong here.
We would have given a perfect 10 score for this park, except for the amount of aircraft noise we encountered on our stay. Very secure grounds with first class service and facilities. We will stay here again!
We stayed here just prior to the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. There are some great spots that overlook the valley and the amusement park below. The owners are very friendly and accommodating of all of our needs. The Office is a stop on the local trolly route that goes downtown to the casinos. This is the cleanest and best laid out RV park in Deadwood, by far.
Very nice State Park nestled in the Pine Ridge of Northwest Nebraska. We stayed here overnight in route to the Black Hills. Very clean facilities. The lower area has some shaded spots, but the upper loop has a better view of the great scenery.
This was our first time with the motorhome in Estes Park. The website for this park is a little more lavish than the park actually is. We camped here on the final weekend of the season, and the water had been turned off the week prior. Estes is a great base camp for many outdoor activities, and we were glad we had our toad for transportation. To be honest this only the only Big Rig friendly RV spot in Estes.
