Another great Washington State Park, located right on the Hood Canal with great views across to Belfair. Nature trails and waterfront sites available. We had a pull through for our big rig. Fire rings and wood is available. Park has tables and grassy sites. There's smaller sites in the trees. Sites closer to road iare noisy but along the interior: are quiet.
Another great Washington State Park. Beautiful, located on the river and across the road on the bay for picknicking. Only downside is some sites back up to main highway 101: which is noisy during day but not much traffic during nights we were here. Big sites, firepits with wood available. Some pull-throughs and big back-in sites with mostly trailers: we were one of a few large motorhomes but we still had plenty of room for our rig, with space to spare.
Full hookups but no trees. Big spaces between sites. Great views across water to Port Townsend. Park is huge and scenic. Sites are flat and large enough to maneuver even with tow car. Loved the area. Fire pits and wood is available for a real camping feeling.
Beautiful new campground in the park with huge back-ins and pull-throughs. Spacious sites with great spacing between them. Has firepits, tables, and large spaces. Located about 2 miles from town on a peninsula on the lake. We spent 3 days, but could have stayed a week.
Needed a spot for over night. Could not leave early enough. Wife called it "grapes of wrath" camping. Uneven site but did have water, 50 amp and sewer...about 5 feet away from a permanent trailer. Trees low and scraped top of coach, dirty with trash and dog droppings. Only in a emergency. But at least it was away from freeway unlike another park which we chose not to stay in because of traffic and congestion in park.
A beautiful state park. Campground is 3 years old. Big pull thru's or back-ins. Spacious sites, fire ring and wood available from host. A beautiful area. Much better alternative to commercial sites in area. About a mile from the lake, and many hiking and bike trails. Laundry in town of Bay View about 4 miles away.
Arrived after 6pm and the office was closed. We had a reservation and they had assigned us a site next to the permanent sites and right on the freeway. The park was not full so we moved to a site in the back: pull through sites are nice, gravel with concrete on the side. Not as scenic as in town. It's next to apartments and Wal-Mart. We left the next day, but it was a good overnight stop.
