As others have said, this place is great. We had a huge site and all sites are secluded from the one next to it. The only draw back to this park is the lack of assigned sites. While they ask when you check in to occupy 50 amp sites only if you need that type of service, there were several tents and pop-up's in those sites. In addition some sites are not conducive to large 5th wheels or motorhomes, and as a result some campers who arrived late were forced into small sites because the park was full. I believe they should charge based on the service you want and assign sites based on the equipment you have. We would stay at this campground again.
People here were the nicest we met on our trip this year, but getting into the campsite was the worst experience of the trip. The road around the camp ground is very narrow and backing the 5er into the site took almost 20 minutes because it was so tight. We loved the gazebo on the ocean where there were chairs & tables to sit at and enjoy the sunset. We loved Key Largo and the area, but I would never stay here again because it is so hard to get into.
We originally were planning to stay for two weeks, but decided to spend the month. Great monthly rate in the overflow section, only draw back is no sewer hookup, so you need to be prepared. Lots of activities and very close to Punta Gorda & Fort Meyers with out the crowds. Mixed age groups here, but everyone was friendly and there are daily activities for everyone. Already made reservations for next year.
We knew there were rules going in, but this place is nuts. Sign posted in office stated you could not even wash the bugs off your windshield. We had a reservation for 2 nights but when I saw that we left the next morning. I am sure they had their reasons, but they were over the top. I would never stay here again.
Good place to overnight, but there is quite a bit of noise from I-75. Sites were large and we had a pull through, and it took a bit of work to get leveled up, because of the topography of the land. The staff was friendly, and check in was easy and convenient. We will definitely stay here again.
Nice place to overnight while traveling. Very easy access to/from I-65. Met at entrance and guided to our site. Sites are relatively small, but as the park was not full we fit OK. We will stop here again when traveling through Louisville.
We stayed here one night and found the campground clean and the sites were concrete pads which made set up a breeze. The restrooms were clean and warm. There were three casinos located in the same area and were convenient to get to. Other casinos in the area are a long distance from this campground and kind if a pain to get to. We would definitely stay here again and will include this as a stop in the future when we head south.
We spent one night here and were the only campers in the park. Shortly after we arrived someone from the campground checked both restrooms and came out. We checked both restrooms out and found that they were both heated and clean. I did shower in the morning and found that the shower had plenty of hot water and was clean. We did not use the water or sewer here (even though it was available) because the overnight low was in the 20's and we did not want to de-winterize the camper until we were further south. The staff was very friendly and we have decided that we would like to stay here at a different time of year to take advantage of some of the local activities.
