Very long spaces, nice people, no reservation was needed as park was only about 1/5 full early September. Great water pressure - use a regulator. Very fast wifi - no cable, but picked up about 10 digital stations off antenna. Very clean - no road noise at all - easy to get in and out. Definitely recommend it and definitely will return on another trip.

A quiet and very clean state park, on the honor system with full hookups (no cable), plus free, fast Wi-Fi internet. Nice level spaces with bbq grill and half of the spaces have a covered area for the picnic table. It's far enough out of Hobbs that the stars are very clear at night. We will definitely stay here again when in the Hobbs area. Just passing through and here for one night this trip.

I have a feeling this place is really busy in the winter, but in August: we were almost alone. It's a huge park. Plenty of level spaces, and the gate guard was super friendly and helpful. Very clean laundry and they have a pet only area. So that if you have pets, they park you in one section devoted to pets. Bunnies everywhere and our little dog loved barking at them. Caution on the water. When you first turn it on, let it run for 1 minute before hooking up to your filter or rig. Some of the spaces may go empty for months, building up dust, so let them run till clear. We will return to this site when returning to Phoenix area: as it was super clean and secure.

This is a remarkable park that we definitely intend to visit again. We spent 2 nights, partly due to no sewer and no dump station. But the solitude, super dark night (no street lights for 20 miles it seems), fantastic sunset and moon rise, along with the natural aspects makes this place special. We were surprised that we did pick up AT&T signal, so we had phone and internet (through our own Wi-Fi only). The park charges $14 per night for a pull through site with electric/water, plus $10 registration fee: so the price is really reasonable. We recommend this park and plan on visiting in the fall or winter. Oh yeah: do watch out for Rattlesnakes as there were 2. But the Rangers responded quickly to capture them and relocate them.

We spent 2 nights here and was impressed with the friendliness of the staff, price, great internet, plenty of TV channels and the sites were level. They didn't have a large dog area, but what they did have was clean and they provided bags. I had appointments in El Paso and we chose this one and very glad we did. We would definitely recommend this one in the future and plan on staying here when we return.
