Nice clean, big-rig friendly campground, with wide sites. Far enough away from the interstate to escape most of the noise, but is in the landing pattern of the Jacksonville airport and the constant noise from the jets is a real issue. Check in process is quick and the staff is friendly. Good overnight stop if you can deal with the aircraft noise. Nightly rate is Good Sam. Would likely return.
Clean, quiet park, but vary hard to get to from the interstate. If we had not had a GPS, we likely could not find it. Check in process was very slow (20-30 min.), as the senior lady at the desk, should have never been here. She didn't have a clue. When we didn't like the site she assigned to us, we repeated the whole process all over again, even though there was a more knowledgeable person here also. All-in-all, very pricey, for what we got, even though our rate was a Good Sam rate. Would not return.
Very nice clean, quiet park, even though there was a large rally here. The only reason we didn't rate it a 10 was it didn't have paved roads. Beautiful setting. Rate was Good Sam rate. Would definitely return.
The night we stayed here, the village was closed, so nothing much else to do, but for an overnight stop, this place is excellent. Large lots, quiet, close to the interstate, but just far enough away to escape the noise. The teens in the office weren't very accommodating, but got the job done. The rate we paid was Passport rate. Would return again.
The campground is primarily a seasonal one, but with a few pull-throughs, and could stand some updating. The price we paid was the Passport rate and anyone that paid full price wasn't getting their money's worth. The office was in the owners' home and was extremely cluttered. In spite of its' condition, it was quiet.
Very clean, well laid out RV resort. Liked the fact that they separated the pet section and did not allow them in other sections of the park. Lots of activities on the agenda. Surrounding area has a lot to offer. Management was very helpful, and their rate policy was quite flexible and fair. As is with most larger parks, the seasonable residents kept to themselves and didn't associate with the short-term guests. Big downside is that it is situated on the landing pattern of the busy Tucson airport and Air Force base, and the aircraft traffic was unbearable at certain times of the day.; even hard to ignore most other times. Can't blame it on park management or policies, but is a real fact. For that reason, we would not return.
The day before we arrived, they had a 12" snowfall, and it had all melted. They had a major water problem and a lot of the sites were under water. The kid that escorted us to the site, put us in one that was under water and we protested. He was unwilling to move us, so we started to move on our own. Eventually an adult allowed us to move where it was drier. Also, it was so close to interstate and a truck stop that the noise was objectionable.
An extremely nice, clean resort. Just opened last year and is big-rig friendly. Management was very receptive and helpful. Area didn't have anything to offer but the nearby casino, and that gets old in a hurry. Daily rate was $40 and it went to $50 on the weekend. Think it is overpriced for what it had to offer.
Park is so close to the interstate the noise is really bad. It is not really clean appearing either. Sort of like you get what you pay for. Would search for other options if we returned to the area. Management not overly friendly either.
Very nice, clean campground, especially being located within a large city. Area has a lot to offer. Management very helpful and accommodating, typical of KOA standards. Our stay was limited due to an upcoming dog show. A little noise from the nearby interstate, but not objectionable. Other campers were very friendly. Would return if in the area.
Stopped for and paid for 2 nights and the sign stated no refunds. It is situated next to a cement plant with lost of dust. Lots of noise from the interstate. Roads are gravel and in poor shape. Sites are very narrow. The day we arrived, an outside contractor was grading them and spreading more gravel, causing more dust. They were scheduled to return the next day and we complained. We requested a refund for the next day and received it without any problem. Rate was Passport rate, but would not return.
Very clean, neat appearing RV resort. All lots are owner owned, and because of that, availability is limited, so we only were able to stay 3 nights. Definitely a high-end resort, but due to our short stay, were not able to get acquainted with many others. Management was not overly friendly and had a not-too-camper-friendly reservation policy. Seemed like there were too many rules and regulations to be comfortable.
A real nice park in a real bad area. As with most larger parks, the seasonal residents don't mix much with the monthly residents. Management wasn't overly friendly or helpful, but not rude either. Their reservation and rate policies lacked a bit to be desired, so be careful with future reservations. We were assigned to a site in the older section of the park, and they were very small and hard to maneuver the big rig. The newer section was bigger and better, but we were never given a choice upon registration. Lots of activities on their list, but never used any of them.
Top-notch resort. Very clean, quiet, and well laid out. Management and staff are all helpful and friendly. Surrounding area lacked things to do, but all-in-all worth the stop. Lots of activities in the park, especially the three-times weekly meals and pot-lucks. They have a licensed restaurant that gets good use, and the menu varies and is reasonable. Would have enjoyed it more if the weather had co-operated. Would definitely return.
Clean, quiet, newer modern campground with wider sites. If you like desert camping, this one is for you. A long way off the beaten path, but worth it for most. Management very friendly and helpful, but didn't stay long enough to get acquainted with others. Rate was Passport rate.
Campground was OK for an overnight stop. Was clean and quiet. Surrounding area offered absolutely nothing. Management was very accommodating. Should have had cable TV available, as its' location was too far from local stations.
One of the cleanest, neatest RV resort we had encountered. Management and residents very helpful and friendly. Would have liked to have stayed longer, but previous commitments prevented us from doing so. Would like to return. Rate was Passport rate, which was good for 1 week.
We stopped overnight, but ended up staying for 5 nights. One of the nicest we found in 5 months on the road. Surrounding area didn't have much to offer, except for the flea market once a month. Management was friendly, helpful and top-notch. All you had to do was ask. Would definitely return if in the area.
Clean campground, across the road from a busy truck stop, but in spite of that, relatively quiet. Stopped because it was a Passport campground, but they didn't accept it on the weekends. Would return if in the area.
Very nice clean, quiet park at the end of the road. Management was top-notch and very helpful. We didn't have reservations and were initially told they were booked up, but in further conversation they said they had a cancellation and we could have a lot for 3 nights. They even took us to the site in a golf cart to see if we liked it. The surrounding area was the height of poverty, but the park was top-notch. Would return if in the area again.
We stopped for an overnight stay and ended up staying for 3 weeks. Very clean and mostly quiet. Not a lot of activities in the park, but the surrounding area was unlimited in things to do and see. Management was friendly and helpful, and other campers were very cordial and friendly. Would definitely return.
Extremely nice, first-class RV resort. Well laid out, and very clean. Surrounding area left a lot to be desired. The really big downside was that it is situated roughly a block from the railroad track and train traffic was about 1 every 15 minutes. Could not get much sleep. Probably would not return because of the noise.
Stopped for an overnight stay, but would not want any more time. Clean and quiet, but directions were very poor and eventually had to go through a really bad section of town to get here. Made you uncomfortable, even driving through it. Management was not overly friendly.
The first time we stopped overnight, it had snowed the day before and had melted and their roads and sites were a mess of red clay and mud. It was obvious they had a drainage issue. Management was very friendly and apologized for the mess. On our return trip, weather was much better and water was no longer an issue. Clean and quiet, on the opposite side of town from the railroad tracks. Would return.
For an overnight stay, it was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Management was not exceptionally friendly, but might that have been that we arrived at 6:00 PM and that was their office closing time. Seemed that was extremely early for a KOA, just off the interstate. Probably would return if in the area.
Would not stay here for more than one night. It was off the beaten path, but very quiet because of that fact. Directions left a bit to be desired. It was in need of a face lift, but as an overnight stop, was acceptable.
