This park is probably one of the best in the area; however, there is not a lot to choose from. The sites are all concrete and level, but there are no other amenities. The park is located in an older residential area next to a train track and a highway. There is some airplane noise, but it is not enough to disturb sleep. The restaurant on site is a nice feature. Because this is basically a big "parking lot", we felt the price was too high. Then again, we don't know of another decent place in the area. We probably won't come to St. Louis again, but if we did, we would probably bite the bullet and come back to this park.
This park is located two blocks off Interstate 55 on the state line between TN and MS. Although the park is clean and well-maintained, it has no other amenities. The reason we are giving it a low rating is due to the excessive airplane noise. The park is located directly beneath a busy airpath and planes go overhead several times a minute. We were awakened at 3 AM to a nonstop blast of airplanes taking off from the airport (possibly FedEx planes). Neither one of us could sleep, so we ended up leaving the park at 4:30 AM. Do not stay here unless you truly love the sound of roaring engines! Thankfully, we are only here for one night. We will definitely never come back to this park.
We stayed here over the Christmas holiday while we visited our daughter in Overland Park, KS. The grounds are nicely maintained, and the sites are tiered so each one has an unobstructed view. We didn't use the laundry or bathrooms, but did peek and found them to be clean. We would stay here again if we came through this area. The park is right alongside the highway, so there is some noise but it is not offensive.
This is probably the best park we have ever stayed in for the price. The facilities are immaculate, the showers as nice as in your own home, and the washing machines are "on your honor" - pay when done. We would highly recommend this park to anyone passing through this area. We were at the end of a two month trip to Alaska, and we stayed in campgrounds each night along the way. Great park and great management.
We called to cancel our reservations with a 28 day notice and were told that we were not eligible to get any kind of refund on our deposit because we did not call 30 days ahead which is the policy. However, our reservation was for six days, so I asked if we could get a partial refund for the four days that we DID give the 30 day notice. The manager called the owner and he/she said no. We were led to believe that if this had been a medical emergency, we would have received a refund. Makes one think that perhaps honesty is NOT the best policy. We will definitely never camp here, and we will make sure that everyone we know hears our story. Very poor management.
