Stopped here on our way back from Florida. This park is showing its age and lack of quality upkeep. The site are OK with just OK hookups and the bathrooms are Old and need of updating along with better cleaning methods. Dogs were roaming the park unleashed and there didn't appear to be anyone checking on the campers, just a lone girl in the office to check you in.
We stayed here for the month of February and have finally found a campground that was everything it advertised. It is a 55 and over park that is friendly, super clean, well run, with large sites. After checking in you are given a tour to show you all the amenities available and to show you how things work there. If you need anything from a rake to a step ladder, you simply call the office, and it is brought to your site. The dog park is well maintained and great for the small dogs that are allowed in the park. Clubhouse, library, and laundry all well kept and have more than enough of everything to keep you happy, including use of the kitchen facility, with free ice available all day. We looked around Florida at other parks for long term stays and found so many not as advertised. This one is all they say it is. We will be back for a longer stay next winter: Lord willing.
Although the park has a large number of seasonal sites; everyone from staff to campers are very friendly. The roads are gravel but kept in good condition so if you go slow they are fine. sites are a bit close together but have enough room for all your needs. We camped here during the "Big E" so that we could attend it and it was busy but no loud noise at night. We would come back again just to enjoy the park.
The owners are very friendly and so are the campers. This is an older campground but is being updated by these owners. While some sites are a bit tight to get into, they are mostly occupied by seasonals and the overnight site that we had was nice and level with easy access. I would return to this campground.
