We were not sure about staying here, but ended up being very glad we did. As stated, this is a park community with some RV sites. Office staff was top notch and very informative. Park is urban but in a secure/secluded setting and is easily accessible (we are in a 38 footer) with paved drives. Site was gravel (fairly level) with concrete patios and sidewalks. Sites are slightly narrow and tow vehicle parking is on the street next to your site. We stayed in the RV section next to the pool. Utilities were accessible and operable. Pool was immaculate. Laundry room was spacious, modern, and fairly priced. Just know that there are rules to follow in this 55+ park and your kids will be very welcome. This location is great for sightseeing in any direction. We were here for a few nights before pushing further west. We would stay here again.
Nice park situated not too far from I-70. Operators were very personable and helpful (very friendly with the kids). Overall, the campground and facilities are very clean. The drives and sites are gravel. Sites are level but a little on the narrow side. Shaded sites are available. Things are a little dusty, however, it was hot, dry, and windy at the time. All utilities were well located and operable without issue. This was a one night layover for us but we would not hesitate to stay longer and we will return.
Park is situated next to a lake and within a shade tree setting. Sites are gravel but ours was very level and well maintained. Operators were very helpful with guidance to site and local direction. Great signage from I-70 for directions. This was a layover stop for us but we would not hesitate to stay longer.
Park is easily accessible right off of I-70. After hours check-in was flawless. Park access is security gate controlled. Park is tucked back in off the road in a secluded area. The park is exceptionally clean and manicured in all aspects. All sites and roads are concrete. All facilities were very clean. The only minimal issue we had was the lack of a office/store. Other than that: outstanding!
What a great set-up from which to visit Cedar Point! Campground is flat, paved, and sites are concreted, level, and very clean. Sites are crowded but you are there for the Cedar Point attractions. We were walking distance from the park that allowed for lunch, snacks, and occasional breaks...very convenient. Yes, the price is steep, however, the discount ticket packages and the location made up for it. Better than remotely camping and going to the parking lot for your camper!
I stopped here for a layover with a 38'. The campground is very small; a cul de sac at the top of a paved hill...very steep hill with a left turn in the middle of it...if I made it, you can too! Just walk the hill though before you commit. The sites were fairly level, back-ins, clean, paved, shaded, with hookups to the rear. The campground is on the edge of town so don't expect country quiet, however, things were tolerable. Issues were the hill coming in and lack of clear directions to the campground from the coal mine exhibition for after hours check in. The administration was very nice and helpful. Check out the exhibition. It is well worth the time and money. You can better appreciate what the men, women, and children from WV (and elsewhere) have done to power this country over the ages...and what they have given (beckleymine.com).
