A rural setting with access to all amenities nearby. Interior roads are excellent pavement with plenty of width for big rig navigation. The staff are ready to help make your stay better. We are happy to recommend this park to our fellow travelers.
Speed bumps, Yes. Hi curbs, yes. Staff friendly and helpful except Manager. She lies. We stayed here a month and hated, really hated, the huge speed bumps. A nearby tow yard with impounded car horns honking all night on some nights was disruptive. Nearby train track was less offensive than the tow yard. Our neighbors were great, as was the area. Maintenance staff were awesome and responsive. Did I mention the high curbs? Beware!
As has been mentioned, the park is clean and well run. Downside is not all sites are level and some are extreme. WiFi allows one (1) code per site and usage is measured. Don't try to watch an email attached video or you'll exceed the limit and WiFi will become s l o w and s l o w e r! I find this unacceptable!!! We will try somewhere else next time.
We stayed here overnight traveling from East to West. Upon arrival the owner met us at the driveway and ran ahead of us, guiding us to our spot. The site was gravel, level with good water pressure and excellent WiFi & 50 amp. We would stay here again traveling through.
After traveling across and around the country (in a 45' coach), it was a delight to check into a park actually run by the owners. Owners that built the park and maintain it. A bit of trouble with the roads and frost heave, but plans to correct. Just North of Lexington and close to Louisville. We will return.
We stayed here because of the proximity to Niagara falls. The water pressure was 30 psi, WI-FI was inadequate. For families there was a lake for fishing, a zip line and a swimming pool. Very kid friendly. Large campsites and level. We felt a little over priced but we felt everything in New York was over priced. Rate is with 10% senior discount. Staff was nice.
This park scores low for us because it smells like a sewer. The rate reflects Passport America. However, we were charged an extra $5.00 a night for Wi-Fi for each computer. Save the money on the Wi-Fi for the service is slower than frozen molasses in a snow storm. Never did determine where the sewer smell came from. We were in Section "C" and there was not enough room to extend our awning. The park is on the banks of the Shenandoah River. ALL SITES slope toward the river and are NOT LEVEL. Our final step exiting the motorhome was 18". There is a Putt Golf Course that was unusable due to lack of cleaning. The park is very large and seems to have a lot of activities. There appears to be RV's stored in spots that appear as if they should be declared unfit for use. I'd say the reviews by others complaining about the park are valid.
This park is old and shows its age. Entry roads are a bit rough and bumpy. The county road coming in is windy & hilly about 5 to 6 miles off I-95. If you have confidence in your driving both roads are passable and adequate. The camp personnel seemed not to communicate with each other and the basic maintenance of the park was lacking. Grass was not mowed, paddle boats were left along the shore of the pond as an attractive nuisance to small guests, dangerous. We asked for a satellite friendly site and were told to use site 100 backwards which put water and sewer on wrong side and unreachable with 20' hose. I used the facilities from the unoccupied site adjacent to 100. Initially this was a problem but then I was given permission as the park was nearly empty. Then the night before we were to leave a travel trailer was assigned to the site next to us where we were connected to the water & sewer. Those folks were upset and an employee we hadn't seen came over with an aggressive attitude and accused us of taking 2 sites and seemed that she'd take her frustration out on her fellow employee(s). The travel trailer was moved to another site. The campground is convenient to Fredricksburg and DC. It also rained and the area around site 100 had standing water like a swamp.
A beautiful park with surrounding trees and a large lake in the middle. No satellite problems what so ever. Loved the set up. Very large spaces to spread out a bit and enjoy. A few long term people who were very nice. The campground is well kept and clean. The owners and staff were very helpful and polite. The only downside was the bugs but you have that in the swampy areas. Bring lots of protection. The residential road going into the park is very narrow so let the owners know if you are checking in early or coming late as you don't want to meet another rig coming. Both will not fit on the road passing.
Nice Campground close to Williamsburg. The campground was clean and well kept. The staff was very polite and helpful with tours and directions to the historical sites. Roads were good. We were camped along the road side of the campground so the one downside was the road noise. The other downside was the train track which runs almost through the park. Our rig shook every time a train went by. That was often and all hours of the day and night. A good place for a couple of nights.
Clean park but a little tight to maneuver a 45 footer in. Internet Wi-Fi intermittent. Mostly full of snow birds for winter, but they save some premium sites for short time visitors. Lots of activity for all who want to participate.
Located in the Everglades and they have a small collection of snakes and gators. Adequate security for guest access only. Nice people who were friendly and helpful. I could not connect to their Wi-Fi but did not expect to. No sewer hook up but a dump-site. Would stay here again.
Nice park, people are friendly. Although when it comes to lack of Wi-Fi they have a story about somebody hitting the tower. Past reviews suggest this to be a fabrication for their lack of truthfulness about the Wi-Fi. When I tried to inform the sales office, they said they could connect. Hmm, I don't know what that means. Site sizes are reasonable but a little tight for maneuvering 45'. Overall a nice place but I score them 5 for advertising Wi-Fi when there is none, except in middle of night.
At the end of Winter with 2 to 4 feet of snow still on the ground this park was fully operational. Not many people around but still a beautiful place. Pool, jacuzzi, steam room, showers, they had it all. A true resort destination with high recommendations.
We stayed here for month of May. Owners and Staff were very friendly and helpful to any needs of a guest. The facilities were well maintained and cared for. The Wi-Fi was flawless and completely reliable even during storms. We would definitely return to this park and recommend it to others.
Location is convenient to Silverwoods but owners DO NOT CARE about park guests. Maintenance is poor. Roads are poor and very dusty. Managed by gas station and they COMPLAIN about their guests to other guests. They are very bad with reservations and think it is easy for anybody to move their rig on a daily basis to correct their errors. Even employee turnover is high. STAY AWAY! Wi-Fi is offered but intermittent and highly unreliable. Store offers NO HELP!
