Great park and even greater price. $26 per night with AAA or Good Sam. There are a lot of long term folks here, probably because of the price. Still it was clean and safe feeling. The reasons I didn't give it a 10 was the trains blew their whistles all night and the space we rented (64) was across from a long term unit (85) that had a lot of wind chimes that also blew all night. Other that that is was a wonderful place to stop over for a night or two on the way to Palm Springs.
My rating is because the park is very tight and crowded. About a third of the spots are full time sites that look like a trashy trailer park types. It is close to the beach but not worth the noise and claustrophobia. The staff was very pleasant. Dogs are allowed, but there is only one tiny grass spot at the back of the place; all the rest is pavement. I would not return. I would rather take my chances at the beach parking lot camp sites.
Really liked this place. Very dog friendly. Easy walk to sandy beach also dog friendly. Would have rated it excellent but the streets and sites need more small gravel to help with the dust and mud puddles when it rains. Restaurant is closed. Easy bike ride to town restaurants.
