Nice campground. Lots of amenities. We stayed in site 48 with a 29' motor home and had plenty of room. Very large site with room behind it to tie out your dog away from the other campers. The very large fenced dog run is great. Plenty of room for exercising even the most active of dogs. Wi-Fi was AWFUL. The only way we could stay connected was to sit at the front desk in the office. Staff didn't have a clue how to fix it and didn't call for tech support despite repeated requests to get the Wi-Fi fixed. They just kept rebooting the system. This place would have rated a 10 if not for the Wi-Fi issues. If Wi-Fi isn't important to you and you have kids who want lots to do, this is a good campground. Pool with a water slide, nice large game room/activity building with indoor/outdoor mini golf, snack bar, arcade games, etc. Very family-friendly and dog-friendly. Office staff was very friendly. But, for us, due to the Wi-Fi issues we probably won't camp here again. No quicker way to ruin an RV trip than to have a teenager constantly complaining because they can't get online to chat with their friends back home. Too bad because, otherwise, we really like this campground.
We had a very nice stay at this KOA. Found it by accident (we were stopping at the Hardee's near the interstate for lunch, saw the sign and decided to check it out). Quiet campground along a river. Lots of riverfront sites. Easy access through the campground for big rigs, lots of pull-throughs. Wi-Fi was EXCELLENT! This is an important amenity for us (teenage son) and theirs was the best we've ever had at a KOA (high speed and didn't drop the connection). Great to see the wildlife being treated so well (rabbits and ducks strolling through the campground, food available at the office, signs warning of duck crossing and not to mistreat the wildlife). Staff was very professional and polite. Breakfast, pizza, and other fast-food type meals available at the snack bar in the office. It was such a pleasant experience, we decided to stay an extra night. FYI, we did receive an email confirming the $10 cancellation fee (mentioned in another review for this campground). Our $40 fee included a shaded, very level, full hook-up site, cable TV, Wi-Fi, fire ring and picnic table. Ample room to open our awning. The only thing this KOA is missing is a fenced dog run. If they had that, I'd have given it a 10. They do have an unfenced dog walk area and you can walk your dogs through the campground. If we travel through this area again, we'd definitely camp there.
The day we stayed it was HOT, probably around 100 degrees when we pulled in. Campground is very shady, which was great given the weather. They now have a Kamp K9 fenced dog park with some agility equipment and shade. Our dogs loved it. We had a nice pancake breakfast. Pool was open and clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Wi-Fi was a little slow so that's why I took off a point. Otherwise it would have been a 10. Probably lots of people hiding out in their RV's due to the heat and surfing the web causing the slow down. We've stayed here in the past and will stay again. Saw plenty of big rigs in here so they must be able to maneuver around. Our motorhome is only 29' and we didn't have any problems.
Very nice campground. We were only stopping for overnight, but decided to stay for a second night because we liked it so much. We took a deluxe site. Pretty large, good sized grassy area surrounded by shrubs/trees. Not completely private, but better than we'd had recently while traveling through other states. WiFi good. Cable TV good. Friendly staff. Very quiet at night (we were there Sunday and Monday nights but there were still a decent amount of campers there). Deluxe sites are close to the playground, pool, office, and game room. Would have given this campground a 10 but the pool filter didn't seem to be working well. Pool water was cloudy and even though the filter was running, there didn't seem to be enough pressure to get it clean. Other than the pool, we have no complaints. Gorgeous indoor setting for the pool and hot tub. Too bad it wasn't clean enough. We would have enjoyed swimming indoors because it was cool during our visit. We would camp here again.
We were traveling through the area on a cross country trip with no specific destination and just pulling off the highway to check out RV parks for the night. Found a few along the way with virtually no services, so we kept on driving. This place is like an oasis in the desert! Nice shaded spots, channels 2-40 on Cable TV, WiFi at the site, full hookup with a drive through site was available on the day of our visit, although the park appeared mostly full when we pulled in. Pool, playground, fairly well stocked camp store, and very pleasant office staff. Lots of people with kids and dogs, but the campground was quiet. Mountain view, definitely! Without even getting out of our RV. Several miles off the interstate, so no highway noise. We would definitely camp here again.
Very nice campground, very friendly staff. Guided us to our site. We were passing through Wisconsin Dells, but didn't want to camp in town. This campground is several towns away and 3-1/2 miles off the interstate, far enough to be quiet. Pool was heated, very comfortable. Sites were shaded. Lots of flowers, very pretty. Very quiet at night. We would definitely camp here again.
This park was an unexpected pleasant surprise. We missed a turn on a cross-country trip which put us way off track, so we were just looking for somewhere with cable & WiFi to spend the night. The owners, who purchased the campground two years ago, were very friendly and helpful. Most sites are shaded with nice old trees. No privacy between sites though...no low shrubs, etc. But for an overnight, it was not an issue. Nice, clean pool. It must be heated. We didn't swim in it but other people were swimming and the air was cool on the day we stayed. Extensive cable TV channel lineup and FREE WiFi, both pleasant surprises given that this is in a fairly rural area. Nice gravel roads, virtually no dirt/mud. Grassy sites. Nice clean laundry room complete with a full sized ironing board, 2 irons, and a shopping cart to use for transferring laundry from washer to dryer. Nice touch with the ironing board! Children's playground which several families were enjoying during our stay. We also received ice cream, brought to our site after check-in by one of the owners. All in all, lots of nice, little surprises here. The only negative is that there's trains running through town which you can hear at night if you're a light sleeper. I sleep like a log, so I didn't hear a thing. I would definitely stay here again.
We stopped her for an overnight on a cross country trip. The staff was very friendly and the campground was very clean and quiet. Blissfully quiet! All we could hear at night were the crickets and frogs. Pool was nice, clean, and well heated. Club house was very clean. Most sites are owned with only 12 available for rental at the time of our visit. Looks like the majority of the riverfront sites are already sold. If you're looking for a quiet campground away from the highway, this is a very nice place to stop. No cable but we were able to get several TV channels clearly with our antenna up. WiFi available in the club house. Not available at sites. If we're ever passing through this area again, we'd definitely camp here. It was the most peaceful night of camping we've ever had.
We camped here because someone recommended the place to us. When I called to make a reservation, the woman who answered the phone couldn't tell me if the site I was getting was shaded or not because she "didn't get out of the office much." I should have taken that as a red flag, but I kept thinking that someone gave it a good recommendation and booked the site anyway. Got there and went in to register, but the staff didn't seem to know how to register us. It took three people to figure this out. Our site (which were told was "big" when I registered) was long but narrow and on the end of the row, right on the road that goes through the middle of the campground, so we had cars going within 5-10 feet of us during our stay. Other campers regularly walked through our site. Campground rules said no fireworks, yet the people in our row were shooting them off during the night. Never saw any campground patrols and no one told them to stop. Our son went up to the camp store to buy snacks, but there wasn't anyone there to serve him. This is probably the worst campground we've ever stayed in. Service was awful and no one enforced any campground rules. I would NOT recommend camping here.
