What a nice campground! We had site 67 at the top of the hill, and while it was a little tricky backing in because of the trees and the angle on the hill, the site was level. Parents had site 68 and had a bugger of a time leveling up. Spacing between sites was good. Did not feel cramped. Sites are gravel and dirt with grass between. This campground has two pools, one in the middle of the camp sites, under tree cover and one by the cabins in the sun. Both were nice, but we recommend the one by the cabins as it is warmer. Bathrooms were clean, showers were large with a large changing area with bench as well. Laundry had 4 each: washers and dryers at $2 per load. Dryers went for 60 minutes: plenty of time. Firewood was $3 per bundle, ice was $1.50 a bag. Our site did not have a fire ring, but we were able to make one out of stones which worked well. Location was very convenient to all attractions. Very nice campground to stroll around, sit down on the docks and watch the lake and just relax. Would recommend this campground to anyone!
Pulled in late for an overnight and was a little worried because there was only one other camper around: a seasonal that looked like it had been there for decades. Office was closed, so we picked the nearest pull-through site, hooked up what we needed, locked up and went to sleep. Took the dog for a walk in the morning and saw that further back in the CG were other campers. There was a really nice pool and two playground areas for the kids. Bathrooms were old, but clean. Might stay here again for an overnight or short stay if in the area.
Pulled in for an overnight stay on way home from Branson. Sites are awning to awning and units are crammed in like sardines in a can. Not sure if two units facing each other could have both awnings out, it was so tight. Luckily our neighbor did not have a slide so we were able to put ours out. Never encountered sites so extremely close before. Pool was nice, had a slide for the kids, but it closes early. Playground was lacking in equipment. Restrooms were ok, fairly clean. Would not stay here again simply because of the tightness of the sites.
Pulled in for an overnight stay on our way to Branson and was very pleased with the friendly staff and the campground in general. Escorted to site and was able to pull through without unhitching which was great. Kids used the pool while we cooked dinner and they loved it. Also a nice little playground and fishing lake. Took dog for an evening walk and toured the CG and discovered really nice cabins, volleyball court, trash cans throughout park to use so you didn't have to hike to one dumpster. Bathrooms were dated but clean. Room between sites was generous. Did not feel cramped. Would definitely stay here again if in the area. In fact, we got a "Thank you for staying with us" letter and $5 giftcard in the mail from them yesterday. What a surprise!
Pulled in for an overnight stop and was very pleased with the friendly staff and CG in general. It is right off of I-70, but I was not bothered with hwy noise. They have a very nice pool, playground and a lake. Bathrooms were a little dirty by the end of the day, but not terrible: they were attached to the pool area, which I always find to be the dirtier restrooms in a CG. Overall a very nice park and I would not hesitate to stay for a longer visit next time.
Campground has many seasonal sites, some units very old, moderately maintained. Seasonals, regulars and staff were all friendly. Sites are grassy, many are pull thrus. Fairly level, although we had to block one side and the front. Set up is awning to awning, which was great for us as we were camping w/ another party. Average site room, did not feel crowded. No AC in bath houses, not modern, but they were clean. Only real complaint was the water pressure. The park was full for the holiday weekend and at peak usage the water trickled from the shower. Seems to me that if they know of this problem, they should fix it. No problem w/ the amps. We ran AC the whole time w/ no issues. Movies and wagon rides for the kids. Pool was really nice. Overall an ok CG. Rating would be higher if water pressure was not an issue.
The sites were very nice and roomy, and most had their own small pavilion type shelters, however, there were no picnic tables and fire rings available when we checked in and were told that a shipment of new tables would be arriving the next day. There was no shipment of new tables, we had to take one from another site that was empty. The bath houses are very old and need serious updating and get rather disgusting by mid-afternoon. They still have the old coin boxes for the showers and they fail to tell you which showers you have to pay for and which ones you do not. The coin showers by our site did not work the first 2 days we were there. The washers left rust stains on half of my laundry and when I complained they told me try some bleach. I rewashed the laundry and it still had rust stains on it, so they credited me one nights stay. The pool was nice and clean, but rather small for the size of the campground. This is a good campground for self-contained RVs as they do not need to rely on the campground facilities.
This is a great campground! My family used to camp here when I was a kid and I remembered it to be a nice place, so we decided to give a try now that we are adults. The restrooms were clean and the staff was friendly. Overall just a great camping experience. Will stay here again!
This is a nice park. Sites are roomy, many with their own shelter/pavilion. Great play area for the kids, as well as a nice pool. Staff was friendly and helpful and the restrooms and showers were clean. Close to Cedar Point and other area attractions. Overall nice camping experience.
