We spent four days here last week. The staff was friendly and the facilities were very good. The main purpose of this review is to warn Wi-Fi users of the woefully poor wireless service. Internet access at this municipal park is served by an outside company at the rate of $4.00/day. During the two days that I purchased access, the download speed rarely exceeded 2 Mbps. Generally, the speed remained at 1 Mbps!!
We recently spent 3 nights at this RV resort near the heart of San Antonio, TX. We were first drawn to this resort by a spectacular November/December 50% off special. Instead of the normal stated rate of $38.00, we enjoyed a rate of $19.00 per night. The resort is extremely neat and clean. The staff is ultra-helpful. It is located very near the Alamo and Riverwalk. City bus service is available right across the street from the office. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone going to San Antonio.
We have camped here twice, most recently in April 2009. The office staff has always been friendly and helpful. The biggest plus is the proximity to the beach. The biggest negative is the cramped sites and lack of parking. All in all, we would return again.
We camped here for three nights and were very impressed with the facilities. The pull-throughs are huge and do not require disconnecting a tow vehicle. There is an "honor box" for late-night arrivals to place payments. The club house contains vending and ice machines. The small swimming pool was very clean and I personally saw it maintained and chlorinated on day two of our visit. We will stay here again when in Central Texas.
