This park was devastated by Hurricane Katrina but opened for Katrina trailers. There are a lot of them still being lived in to this day. The roads are all dirt, the sites are not level, the management does not work on weekends so you go in and find a spot. The management is spending more money adding permanent spots instead of replacing the bathrooms, clubhouse, and other amenities that were lost to Katrina

The 30 amp sites were in skid row. Small pads and permanent residents with awnings out made it very difficult to get situated with slide outs. The road we were on was like a trail, dirt, potholes, and mud. This park has permanent trailers and long term winter residents who get a different rate on cable TV. We were asked to pay $2.00 per night and talked to some people who were paying only $1.00 per night.

Very nice park. Tar roads throughout. It seems a little much to charge short term campers $2.00 per night for cable TV and $2.50 per night for Wi-Fi. At 185 sites that means we are paying for these services for the permanent residences.

At a city park. Nice level, gravel sites. Some back in and some pull through. The Trailer Life directory has some misinformation as to the location of this campground. On Highway 14 and 37 you go South, not North to get to the park. The campground host could have been more friendly, it was an effort for them to check us in. The TL directory gives a number for reservations, you may or may not get the reserved spot. We did not because some one in a motorhome liked the spot which had our name on it so he/they moved our reservation card to a different location even though it had the site I was told we had on the card.

Sites are all on grass, or dirt, and not very level. Newer addition sites were more level. Price was high for what you get.

Campground directory (TL) said gravel roads. There was very little gravel, mostly dirt. For the price it was not much of a bargain. The sites are shaded, but not very even. Staff was friendly. We used it because of closeness to Medora Musical and Pitchfork Fondue which were both very good.
