This is an EXCELLENT place to camp. The park was immaculate. The sites are very spacious. The bathhouses were heated and very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They made rounds through the campground many times during the day and even at night so we felt very safe. There are nature trails that are just awesome; a nice well-kept playground; the roads are paved and level, perfect for riding bikes. We loved watching the tugboats pushing barges as well as big luxury yachts cruising the river. It was quiet and peaceful and just beautiful and relaxing. This is the cleanest, best kept park I think we've ever stayed in. I would recommend it to anyone and everyone. We will definitely camp here again and again. We camped on site 11, pull through water front site. It had a picnic table and a fire-pit w/attached grill. It was paved and level. Good water pressure. No sewer hook up. I am looking forward to our next adventure to camp at this park again.

This is a beautiful, peaceful, clean level park. Perfect for bike riding. Very clean. Level sites. We stayed on a site close to boat ramp. Very quiet and relaxing. Showerhouse was by far BEST I've ever seen. Clean and very well kept. Other parks could learn from this one how to keep a showerhouse. WOW. How nice it was to feel so comfortable there. Heat was on so it was nice and toasty to shower there. Only con was the person at the gatehouse seemed in a really bad mood when we checked in. She made us wait while she had a conversation w/a camper who had walked up to the window. She was not pleasant at all. We refused to let her poor attitude ruin our trip. I can't wait to come back and camp here again. Hopefully someone else will be on duty at the gatehouse, or that person will be in a much better mood. Lots of neat looking places near by to shop and eat.

I LOVE this campground. I don't think there is a bad campsite in the whole park. We've stayed on #16 twice and had a wonderful view. Peaceful and relaxing. Level sites and roads great for bike riding. Shower was not clean and was outdated but water pressure was good. Bath house was heated so it was nice and warm. Be sure to run the water at your site a few seconds BEFORE you hook up, ours ran black due to lack of use, was fine after running a few seconds. Pressure is a little tricky to get adjusted. Town is close by for any needs. Luckily we did not experience any problems with ants at all. Overall, I love this campground and will go there as often as possible.
