The rate is based on a weekly rate. This is a very nice park, lots of grass and very well maintained. However, it's about 2 blocks from the Interstate and just on the other side of the Interstate is the sugar beet factory. We knew, of course, that the freeway is there, but did not know the sugar beet factory would be "cooking" quite this early in the year. We've literally had to keep the MH closed up because that odor is almost as bad as a skunk! We have stayed in this area for many years visiting family and haven't had that experience this early in the year before. When I called for a reservation, I was told that the Wi-Fi was great. They'd just had new repeaters put in and everyone was getting a signal. Don't know where the repeaters are, but the signal is spotty and at times very slow. I've tried many times during the day and even in the middle of the night and it doesn't change. Will possibly stay here again and if we recommend it to anyone will be sure to tell them about the Wi-Fi and sugar beets!!
There is no doubt this is a beautiful park with lots of fun amenities and the staff is wonderful. This is our second monthly stay in 2 years but it will be our last. First of all, the hike in monthly rates, almost $125/month. They've just priced us out of the market. They told us it also included WFi, which is another story. Very unreliable. Would rather go back to paying Tengo direct, at least that worked. Seemed like the WiFi was down or we were getting knocked off every day. This is very frustrating when trying to do business on the road. We were told we could always come down to the clubhouse but where is the convenience in that? As the previous poster commented it is very close to the airport, but it's also very interesting to watch the huge tanker choppers come in and out. More irritating was the private jets leaving at midnight or after. We'll continue to recommend this park but we will also warn people that it's expensive.
The only thing friendly about this park is the staff; although, they have a tendency to not know what they're talking about. The spots are narrow with a lot of overgrown trees and shrubs between the spaces. Also, a lot of large river rock is scattered around the sewer, water and power hookups. It makes it very difficult to move around so you can hook up or unhook. If you have your slides out you have to walk sideways to get to your door because the trees have grown over into the parking spot. There's approximately 12" from the edge of the RV to the edge of the site and woe be unto you if you are on the concrete lip or the the grass (what little there is). If they don't get a gardener in there to take care of the overgrowth and the dead trees we won't be back. My price was based on a weekly rate so it's pretty pricey as well!!
Great park! There's no shade because it's new and the trees haven't had a chance to grow; but other than, that it's awesome. Finally, a park where the Wifi worked. We were able to get good satellite. We had a nice wide spot, very clean and well kept place. Staff very friendly. Manager even came over and introduced himself and bid us welcome. We'll definitely stay here again...I only gave it a 9 because the guy next door is a long-timer and had 2 vehicles plus a lot of "stuff" outside scattered around his spot. I'll be sure to ask about the condition of the neighbors spot, first!!
This rate paid is based on monthly rate, plus $50 electric deposit. We chose this park because of its location to our relatives in the area. It is very crowded; sites are very close together. It is clean, well maintained, and the staff are very pleasant. The reason we did not give this park a 10 is because of the Wi-Fi. A park this size needs more bandwidth. We frequently get knocked off, and we are literally across the street from a repeater. My personal opinion is that a park with over 200 sites needs more bandwidth. It is very frustrating to be working on your banking, etc., and get knocked off. Don't know if we'll stay here again.
The lady at the desk asked if we were Good Sam, then didn't give us the rate! When I asked she said that was the rate, however, the regular rate was also $36! We were only here for one night so it wasn't too bad. The park is run down and not well kept up. The Wi-Fi worked just fine. We were right next to the repeater. Didn't use the cable. Don't think we'll be back.
I suspect this will be our last visit to this park. $500 + elec + $30 for Wi-Fi. The only Wi-Fi available is extremely expensive and of a very poor quality. $30/month for Wi-Fi with only 2 to 3 bars is, in my opinion, expensive, not to mention unreliable. The also state in their rules that RV's must be of a certain age or newer to be in here and must be in good repair. Obviously they're willing to overlook that. Some spots look as though the people brought everything they own with them and it's piled outside. If I'd known about this before I paid we'd have moved on. However, they do have signs up (printed in very big letters) that there are no refunds for any reason. I suspect they get quite a few requests!!
We like staying in this park. It's easy on and off from I-40, great friendly staff, very clean and well kept. We are usually in here twice a year and stay for 2 to 3 days. They have two laundries, one in the main building and one in a satellite building on the north end of the park. The satellite laundry is very small, but there would be room for a chair!! Imagine my surprise when I went over with my laundry and book and no place to sit! A chair would be a most welcome sight!!
There are two reasons this campground did not get a 10. The first being the Wi-Fi that was paid for. It was very poor even though we were supposed to be right next to a repeater. For $11/week, I kind of expected to get better Wi-Fi. There were several times I had to go up to the office to get online in spite of paying for the Wi-Fi. The second was a barking dog that was left alone quite often by its owners. A comment to management was pretty much ignored. In the evenings when we'd like to have our windows open and the AC off, we could not do so because of this dog. The dog belonged to a permanent resident: maybe this gives them special treatment, who knows? Other than that, this is a very nice park with a friendly (mostly) helpful staff. Very convenient to town and lots of shopping.
If this park were located closer to the freeway it would get a 10! This is a beautiful park, very well cared for and the staff is super. Wish it were closer to I-84, but we will definitely stay here again.
We've stayed at this park many times in the last 15 years and it just gets better and better. These are among the most accommodating people we've ever met in an RV park. Have had no trouble with the Wi-Fi, however the cell service can be a bit touchy since they're down in a valley of sorts. We probably won't be back in a while since our family has moved out of the area, but will not hesitate to recommend this park to anyone heading to Missoula.
This really isn't a bad place to stay and I gave it a lower rating because we had such a hard time getting close to level. We finally settled for almost level after my husband had to shovel some of the rocks away from the wheels on one side. We're also parked in the back of the park across the street from a very active neighborhood. The rate is based on a Good Sam weekly rate of $200.03. Be sure you have a water regulator with you because they won't let you hook up without it. I honestly don't know if we'd stay here again.
Our son is stationed on this base and we like staying there even though we have to start the reservation process well in advance. It's all done with e-mails and can take weeks to get done. The new part of the park is the place to be because the rest is all under the trees with no way to get satellite plus the hookups are side by side. The views of the area are great and we love watching the planes fly! The only reason I didn't give it a 10 is the general worn condition of the park and the road noise, which is really beyond their control. As long as our son is stationed there we will stay there.
When the new owners of this park get done with it, it will be a fantastic place to stay. We were here for almost a week and would do it again in a heartbeat, even though they're in a mess. The laundry is open and all brand new!! We didn't use the restrooms but they're also new and available. Everything is spotless. The reason I didn't go with a 10 is there isn't much gravel on the sites yet and it was rainy and muddy. Other than that, we had no complaints. Nice big spots, side by side hook-ups (wonderful not to have your neighbors sewer hose right outside your front door!) Has lots of trees. This will be a great park one day and we'll be back.
This park is in a beautiful setting: absolutely wonderful. That is about the only good thing we've found so far. They're the only game in town and they charge accordingly. The price is for water and electric only. So far, we've not found a dump, so will carry our black and grey water with us. The other big downside is you must go into a bar, which in itself is not a bad thing, but it's so smoky in there that we had to change our clothes after just a few minutes inside. If you have any kind of allergy to smoke, send someone else in to sign you in. I honestly don't know if we'd come back here again. The area is so beautiful we'd like to come back again, but doubt very seriously that we'd stay here.
This is a great park, easy to get to and get around in. Sites are very level and very large. Staff is very friendly and helpful and owner lives on site. WiFi works okay: used our own wireless mostly for secure connection. Some faint road noise from I-70 but so far no trains like our previous campground! We'll stay here again.
This is a great park and the only reason I gave it a 9 instead of a ten is the river rock they've used on the sites. It's hard to walk on and easy to twist an ankle if you're not careful. The staff and facilities are first rate. WiFi worked great and the cable TV provided access to the local weather channels, which a couple of times proved very handy to have! We will definitely stay here again.
The rate is based on monthly rate. Does not include electricity. We spent the month of Sept here and this is a great place, super people and even an Alpaca on site! The reason I didn't give them a 10 is the road noise and that really isn't their fault. The park is well maintained. My husband's favorite part of the park is they allowed him to wash the MH and the truck! We will definitely be back!
This is a great park with the exception of the sites being very close together. The worst part of that is your neighbor's sewer connection is almost literally at your front door. The staff is very friendly, sites are fairly level. We will stay here again but won't plan on any outdoor eating!
This campground is very easy to find. We were put in a space that's right off of the freeway and that provided a bit of noise. Lots of trucks and motorcycles. The campground is clean and fairly well kept. The staff is friendly and very accommodating. We would stay again.
This park is clean and quiet. The staff is very friendly and made us feel very welcome. Wi-Fi was a disappointment. Could not get it from our MH even tho we were close to the office. The staff did not let us know we had to come to the office. They had several different sites to connect to but could not get any of them to work. Finally used our Verizon wifi modem and it works well.
This is a great little park! Owner/operators are very friendly and want to make your stay special. We were there for 2 nights and had we not had reservations elsewhere we'd have stayed a few more days. Wi-Fi works well, and the park is clean and well kept. Swimming pool looked very nice and the playground is very nice. We've recommended this park to several people and would not hesitate to stay there again.
This park claims to be the #1 RV park in Montana, but it's got to be self-proclaimed!! The Good Sam rate is $37 and for that I'd expect a few amenities to be included in the price. Cable is extra, Wi-Fi ($4/day) is terrible and NOT included in the price and all kids are charged $3/day. Laundry is small (4 washers and 6 dryers, including 2 dryers that don't work) and kind of pricey. $1.50 to wash and $1.50 to dry. We've stayed in comparable parks that are approximately $10/day cheaper that included all of the amenities. The staff is very friendly and helpful and that certainly helps. A previous reviewer commented on the shortness of the sites and he's right. This park is okay for 2 people who only want to spend a night and move on, but if you plan an extended stay, best be prepared to pay for it!
This is our third fairly extended stay at this park (11 nights) and the only bad thing I can say about it is there's no Verizon cell signal here! We had no problem getting level in our spot and I guess we're far enough back that we can sleep with the windows open and not be kept awake with the highway noise. They have a super Wi-Fi system and the one time there was a problem all it took was a re-set to get it back up again. The staff here is super friendly and eager to keep the campers happy. We'll definitely stay here again.
We've stayed in this park several times over the years, often for several days at a time. This last visit was the first one for a few years since our son left the area. We were very disappointed in this park. Although it is well kept, there are several "permanent" residents and a lot of those rigs are pretty poorly kept, giving a "run down" feel to the park. A lot of them had a fair amount of junk piled around them and a lot of them were fairly old and not very well kept up. I honestly don't know if we'll go back there or not since we really don't have family in the area anymore. Will most likely go to another park in the valley.
If they put Wi-Fi in this park it would be a great park. They do have gravel roads and it's a bit dusty but for a few days it shouldn't be a big deal. We could listen to the Elk bugle and watch the stars. Cool, crisp nights. As I said, no Wi-Fi and if you're not with sprint you won't have any connection to the outside world. Another problem we had is the website says to turn right at Clints Well. The problem is the road only has a small sign that says FN3 and no where on the website is it mentioned that it's the Lake Mary Road that goes to Flagstaff. The restaurant on site makes a killer burger and the onion rings are excellent!!! We'll come back, but be more prepared.
This is a great park! We appreciate the fact that it's an adult only park. After a summer of being in family parks, this is an awesome, very quiet treat. The park is very well maintained and the people in the office went above and beyond to make sure we knew about the bus lines, where stuff is, and what's going on in town. We will definitely be back!
This is a park that is right on the river. While we weren't parked on the river, we were very close. I don't know that I'd say this park is big rig (36-40') friendly. They'd put a couple of big motorhomes on the river and the way they were forced to park their towed left them very vulnerable to fender benders. Also office staff, while not rude or nasty were pretty taciturn. No smiles or friendly welcomes. Would think again about coming back.
Nice campground, friendly people. The only problem is the mosquitoes!! They need to spray occasionally. The staff is great, laundry very reasonably priced. Sites fairly level. Wi-Fi is okay. Not a whole bunch of bandwidth to let several on at a time, so you sort of take your chances. Lots of trees, but we lucked out with a spot to use the satellite. We'll come back!!
This is a nice little park. We had a spot by the river with water, electric, no sewer, which is okay for a couple of days. Satellite worked great and Wi-Fi was pretty good. Kind of slow at times. We'd come back!
When we stopped in here last month and made our reservations for this month we were told we'd be in one site and when we got there we were put in another and basically told to like it or lump it. We were unable to use our satellite because of this. Not that big a deal, but the bait and switch was at best, tacky. They do have cable, but it's very limited. The Wi-Fi is terrible. They must only have bandwidth for 2 people to be on at the same time. On the upside, this campground is very quiet and while there are lights in the park, they are fairly unobtrusive. There are many campgrounds in the Durango area and I think we'll make another choice next time around.
We love this park!! Under new ownership and they are the best. After a slow start with cable and wi-fi (through no fault of their own) they are finally on track. This park is very clean and the staff is incredibly friendly and willing to do what they can to make you happy. Laundry facilities are excellent. We didn't use the showers or restrooms but if the rest of the park is any indication they've got to be the cleanest. We've been here about 5 weeks and plan to come back for the month of September. The people here are incredibly friendly to all who come. We highly recommend this park to anyone looking for a place to stay either for a day or two or long term.
This is a great park...very user friendly, super staff, very clean and well kept. They're very receptive to visitors at your campsite. We booked for a month, so I can't absolutely verify the daily rate. The wi-fi is free and is an excellent system...way better than some I've had to pay to access. We would very definitely recommend this park to anyone coming thru this area.
This is a great park--large grassy areas for people to walk on and for the kids to play on. Laundry room was very clean. Nice shady spots. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would stay there again if we're in the area.
This is a great park. I agree with a previous post that says as close as it is to the freeway You'd think there'd be noise, but there isn't. We were having trouble getting our satellite TV signal and they graciously moved us until we could get one. The WiFi works great and is free. They're hoping to having Cable TV in the next few months, as soon as it's available in the area. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We will return and will recommend this park.
This is a campground run by people who very recently purchased it and they've got a lot of work to do. They're trying very hard and that's working in their favor!! The sites need some leveling work, but other than that, it's okay. It's very clean and well kept. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. We would stay here again.
This is a very nice campground with one exception--the WiFi only works around the office. One would think that for $40/night they'd make more of an effort to remedy that. For those of us who conduct business on the road that's a real inconvenience. Otherwise, it's a nice clean, quiet, friendly place. Adult oriented. Would stay here again if the wifi situation is addressed.
This is a great park!! Finally a park that didn't charge extra to run the A/C. Staff is super friendly, eager to help. Well kept grounds, pool and playground very clean. Wi-fi worked great...quiet place to relax and enjoy your time here. We will stay here again if we're in the area.
This is definitely a family oriented campground. Lots of activities for the kids--but since we don't have any kids we weren't too interested in them. The sites are smallish--we have a 36' MH and it just fit where they put us. We had room to park the car beside it, but the picnic table we had was literally beside the neighbors sewer hook-up. The wi-fi was $2/day so I didn't use it. Also charged extra $2/day for AC. Don't think we'll stay here again.
To us, this is the perfect park. Very affordable. Nice long pull thru's, free cable, $1/day wi-fi and we can even get our dish signal!! The spots are very level, it's a very clean, well maintained park. You see the staff out working constantly. The staff in the office are very helpful and friendly and there's no question they won't try to answer for you. We'd recommend this park to anyone, and since they're almost always full we're not the only ones recommending it!! Call early for your reservation!
Very nice park--we don't usually stay KOA, but decided to give this one a try. Very clean, staff attentive and helpful--very friendly. Top of the hill is a great place to be. Yes, it's far away from the showers, etc., but it's quiet and dark at night, unlike some other campgrounds that have lighting bright enough to read by! This is a great park and when we're in the area we'll stay here again.
We were there for 3 nights and had we not prepaid, we most likely would have left early. I was told several times that we were "close" to the WiFi antenna but could never get more than 5.5 mbps on a 2 bar signal...also was told when I made the reservations that the site we were going to be put in was a good spot to get a satellite dish signal, but that was not the case. We were also told that the park would be full, but there were several other spots open we could have been in that would have given us 30 amp power and cable TV...not to mention sewer hookups.
This is a great park for a family or just a place to sit and regroup for a few days. There's a lot to see in this area and the owners are more than happy to answer questions about what to see and provide directions to get there. They were most accommodating with our satellite TV and WiFi location requests and went out of their way to be sure we were happy with our site. Will definitely be back!
This is a very nice campground, very well maintained as far as being kept clean is concerned. However, the sites are not close to level and even with extra boards, etc., we could not get level. previous reviewer was right--they need to spend some money and level sites and gravel the roads. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
If you're looking for a quiet place to relax and regroup, this is NOT your spot to do it in. This campground is a family campground and there are a lot of kids running around both on bicycles and in golf carts. They also have a problem with barking dogs..don't seem to be too interested in controlling either the dogs or the kids. The sites are wooded, we had one with full hookups. They do have WIFI now, but it's $3.95/day and has a very poor signal unless you're right under the router. Don't think we'll be back...
This is a fairly nice campground...we were there in the middle of the week so it was quiet...the seasonals were working, I guess. The wifi was very spotty--when I could get a signal I could only get a couple of web sites and very iffy e-mail. No cell service, which isn't that important. Don't know for sure if we'd stay there again or not--would probably look for something with a little easier access--the road to the campground is gravel and not very well maintained.
This is a clean friendly park that only has a couple of quirks...the wifi worked until a MH pulled in between us and the router...even at best only got a 2 bar signal...worked, but slow. Also, after charging $27/night we were charged $4/day for AC and if we wanted 50 amp service that was extra as well. Often figured $27 was enough to cover the cost of AC...and 50 amp service. Sites are gravel/sand/dirt with some grass...no mosquitoes or other nasty bugs so that was definitely a plus. We'll probably stay here again if we're in the area, but will be more prepared.
This is a beautiful campground located on Fox Lake, north of Bemidji, about 10 miles. The campground has nice wide spaces with full hookups...not too many of those on water sites. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We'll definitely stay here again when we're in the area.
If not for the mosquitoes this would be a perfect park. We cannot go outside in the evening (or most of the day) and cannot open any windows wih out literally being swarmed. Don't know what if anything can be done about it, but don't see any effort at all. It's a nice, quiet park. Large pull through sites are perfect if you don't want to un-hitch. Owner/operator is very friendly. It's close to town, yet far enough away to not be noisy.
If you love trains, you'll love this place!! It's behind a motel, right on Hwy 2, about 200 yards from a r/r trestle. Not quite close enough to shake the motorhome, but close enough that you definitely hear them!! Wi-fi works great--best of the year so far! Front desk people very friendly. Don't plan to getting a satellite signal for your TV, but a few sites have cable.
With sewer hook-ups this would be a perfect RV park. The wi-fi is slow, but works well. The camp hosts are very friendly and helpful. The setting is incredible--it's literally a big meadow with mountain views on all sides. Quiet, very clean and easily accessable. Great place to spend a few days.
This is a beautiful small park right on the Salmon River. We're parked facing the river with all the beautiful wildlife to watch. It's very quiet and the management is wonderful. They're friendly and eager to please. The sites are mostly grass and well tended.
This is a new park--very friendly management. Clean, wonderfully quiet and very generous spaces. We're here for the month and have been made to feel very welcome. Wi-fi is free and definitely a big consideration when choosing where to stay.
We've spent alot of time here over the last 5 years. When my Dad was in the hospital in Missoula they literally allowed us to come and go as we needed to over the summer. Their flexibility and park amenities make this our favorite park to stay. The park is very clean, the amenities are great and the staff goes way out of their way to make sure everyone has what they need.
