Great campground within walking distance to just about everything in West Yellowstone. Extra large, level pull thru sites and very clean bathrooms and showers. A great place to stay in West Yellowstone.

What a pleasant surprise this park turned out to be! The manager of the park is a super friendly guy with wonderful information about the West Yellowstone area. The bathrooms and showers here are sparkling clean. They have a wonderful little game room for the kids. We were in a 26 foot travel trailer and we had no problem with the size of the site, but I can see how they might be tight for bigger rigs with slideouts. Overall this is a great campground with a warm, family friendly atmosphere.

Stay away from this park! From reading the description you would think that this park is great family destination. Being in the Black Hills of South Dakota and near great attractions such as Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse Monument it has the potential for being a really nice place, but unfortunately it is not! The sites are muddy and uneven. The bathrooms are absolutely outdated and filthy! They advertise a wate rpark on site, but when you check in they tell you that you have to pay an extra $60 to use it. They do have a pool that you can use without an extra fee. We did not go in it, but our neighbors did and they said that it was very dirty. They have horseback riding onsite which is nice and pretty reasonable. The women inside taking care of check-ins are very nice, but the older man working outside near the check in parking is very grumpy and he will yell at you and bang his radio on your car if you do not pull up far enough! We have been to many KOA's, some nicer than others, but never have we been to one as dirty as this one. KOA should be embarrassed to have their name attached to this park.

A very nice campground. Sites are a little close, but it really did not pose any problems. We were next to very large rigs with slide outs and we did not feel cramped. Bathrooms were clean. If you are travelling in the summer months with kids, please note that there is no pool on site, but the campground is literally in the backyard of Dutch Wonderland (a family amusement park). Overall, this park is a great base camp for the many Lancaster tourist attractions.
