Nice small simple campground for the purpose of seeing the sites around Stowe, VT. Had the nicest mowed grass of any campground I ever stayed at. The bathhouse was very dated, but clean. Pool was very clean. The small river at the back of the property was fun to wade through. Other reviewers said something about the owners not being too friendly. I would agree. I tried talking to the owner on why his website was hard to find. He said because it was a "private" website for people who paid to view on a regional Intranet site. I tried to explain that if I Googled "Stowe Vermont Campground" his site would not come up in the search results. They had 20, 30 and 50 amp service. I thought the over night fee for 30 amp service was a little high at $40, but the Stowe area is pricey to start with.

Stayed here for 10 nights in Aug. of '10. We stayed in the wooded / shady sites behind the pool area. Most of these sites are average in size. Just about all the sunny sites near the beach are pull-through's. As we arrived on a Thursday the place was packed. I mean we didn't see any open sites, except ours. But come Sunday the place emptied out where 50% were empty. The rate was $64 a night plus tax, which I believe came in over $70 a night. I had thought when paying my bill, they said part of the SC tax was a "bed" tax. We had water/ electric and cable. Even with everyone running their AC the power supply was good. The showerhouses were mostly newer and kept clean. The pool complex is a little dated, compared to the 3 large campgrounds south of Myrtle Beach. I like coming here, but at $70+ a night it is in uncharted grounds as far as over-night fees. We would go here every year or two, but with the high overnight cost, we go every 3-5 years. Over-all Myrtle Beach Travel Park is more laid back compared to the 3 campgrounds just south of MB.
