Nice park with paved sites. Some sites back into each other so the rear of your unit may be very close to the neighbor behind you. Pool is nice and most things you may need are within a short distance of the park. It was nice having a paper each morning waiting outside. We did the free lunch a couple of days and it was nice to have a break from cooking. WiFi did not work unless you are close to the clubhouse/pool. Nice staff here.
Nice RV park located close to the beaches. We used this as our home base to explore the area and it was convenient and nice to come back to each night. The sites are nice and level and they have a pond in the middle of the park. Management was very nice checking in and WiFi worked well. Sites are paved with brick paver patio areas. They have a small pool but we did not use it. Seems to be a mix of short and long term campers. We would stay here again if in the area.
Better than it looks from the road. Sites are spaced decently and have small strips of trees between them. The bathrooms and laundry are in converted mobile trailers and a bit rundown. The dryer did not work to dry our clothes so make sure to check them first if you use the facilities. Seems less crowded and more off the highway than other Watson Lake campgrounds we saw.
If you are looking for the normal tourist trap campground this would be a good stop for you. Sites are wooded but very tight. Big rigs on caravans seem to be the majority of campers. We started to stay here, bought our site and after driving through and finding our spot occupied we decided we would rather take our chances further down the road.
We have driven by this campground for years when driving the highway and always wanted to stop for a night so this time we did. It is an excellent stopping point. The owners are very friendly and the lake is right on the campground and easy to get to. Our kids loved throwing rocks in the lake and wading and our dog loved the swimming. It was a great breaks from the long days in the car. As stated in another review you do need to haul out your garbage which is understandable as they have bears very near (and in) the campground on occasion. Wi-Fi was spotty but you are in the middle of the Yukon so you take what you get. We would definitely stop here again and hope to on our way back down the highway.
Nice park in the woods. It is not on the lake side of the highway so the only sites that have views of the lake also are right next to the highway. Many mosquitoes while we were here in June, so bring your bug spray. Fresh water is available for fill at the dump station. Dump station costs $5 extra. Friendly park hosts!
Nice park. Has a day use park with a designated swimming area. The lake was high when we were there, and some of the sites were flooded. The park manager was very nice, and the sites are in a field and nicely treed. You can fill with fresh water at the dump station for free. Showers cost extra.
We were going to stay here based on reviews, but after a drive through we decided to head further north. To us this is a crowded parking lot with sites very close to each other - not a good fit for our family of 6 with small kids.
Really well maintained park with nice sites and is located right along the river. The kids had a good time playing in the river. WiFi is slow but you might ask the camp hosts for alternatives. The park is right by train tracks but a train only came by mid morning and not at night. There is a park with playground a short walk under the bridge for the kids to play at and plenty of grass. There is also a hike/bike dirt trail heading up river that is fun to explore. The camp hosts were very nice and very accommodating. A great place to stay!
Nice out of the way park. Only has electrical hookups. Bathrooms are pretty rough and did not appear to be cleaned very often. Has a dump station and water on the way into the park. Nice and quiet. Large sites.
