We thoroughly enjoyed this park. Lovely clean restrooms and external areas. Very long sites and plenty wide enough for slides. Fire rings and picnic tables for each site. And also very quiet at night. We were here during the week so it would be interesting to compare weekends. Easy commute to all the attractions of Disney, shops and other activities. We had two seniors and another adult and the cost was $17.00 per night which was the senior rate with no additional cost for the extra person. We will definitely be back in the near future.
We have mixed feelings about this park. Staff and other campers were very helpful and friendly. The 'happy hours' and social activities were a lot of fun and the park is maintained at a high standard. However, the sites can be a bit narrow and one or two of the RVs appear to be very run down and dilapidated looking. We enjoyed our stay and would return. The estimated price reflects Escapee membership and a weekly rate with cable.
What an absolute gem! Yes the drive through some of the suburbs may raise questions however entry to the park immediately squashes any problems. This is a gorgeous park which is beautifully maintained and kept very clean and tidy. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The bathrooms are perhaps the cleanest I have seen in a long time and it even has a laundry (75 cents a load!!). It is within easy commuting distance to Graceland and other major attractions and is very quiet and peaceful. Very family friendly. Tennessee is to be congratulated on the standards maintained in their state parks. We have visited two and been very impressed by both. We would definitely stay here again.
This is a lovely park although it is quite isolated. There are four sites with full hookup and the price reflects the additional $5 per night for the sewer. There is a dump station on the way out so for short stays I wouldn't select the full hookup again. The rangers were patrolling the park the whole time even though there were only about four RVs in there at this time of the year. Beautiful walks and very well maintained with paths and roads being swept of leaves each couple of days. Easy (and pretty) drive to Lynchburg and the Jack Daniel's Distillery. We would definitely stay here again.
While this park does not have laundry facilities (there is a public one just over a mile away) it has so many other positive features that it is a great place to stay. Planned activities, lots of family oriented things going on, takeaway food available at a reasonable cost, and it is very family friendly. The managers and staff were extremely helpful and very friendly. We would definitely stay here again. We stayed three nights and the price reflects an October special for Passport America members.
Maybe we were just unlucky with our stay here. Dogs everywhere and some of them barked all day! The park is a pretty spot as you drive in - the permanent and seasonal vans did leave something to be desired but are situated away from the short stay area. Lovely play ground for children. Take care with the sharp turn into the park off the Interstate and care needs to be taken in leaving the park with fast traffic coming around a bend on the right.
The staff and residents of the park were very friendly. The site we had was long and level and the dump stations were easy to use on the way out. Lovely shaded sites and walking trails. Beware the road into the park - speed humps and large joins in the tarmac. We would stay here again.
Easy pull through sites although not too level and a bit tight with the trees close on both sides. There is no possibility of putting out the awning. Nice picnic area although rock band and karaoke on Friday night was a bit loud but it didn't go past 10.00 pm. We would return to this park.
Great little park. Neat, tidy, and well maintained by a friendly couple. Lovely, level sites with grass in between and a neat table. It even has a potted plant on it. Certainly would return if we are ever back in this area. It's a gem!
