Friendly staff, great large site. We are in a 50amp full-hookup site and it is really nice. Our site is a gravel pull-through with picnic table, fire pit and our own bench swing. The site is very large and we have plenty of room. Our site has lots of trees and shade and right behind us is a large open field which is great for walking the dogs.
Reserved 50amp full-hookup, was put on 30amp site, called office and was told they don't have 50amp full-hookup sites. They have 3 50amp sites on the lake but they are water & elec. only. Office is run by kids and they don't seem to care much about customer service. We left and went to a different campground. Rate is based on the quoted monthy rate of $700.
Very clean campground with very friendly and helpful staff. We have stayed here twice, once last year and we returned this year. We are staying for the season and our rate reflects a seasonal rate of $1800 for 6 months. There are many regular scheduled activities from morning to evening if you are looking for something to do. There are few trees in most of the campground, but many sites on the edges are nicely shaded. They are adding more sites to handle the busy winter season. Wal-Mart is only about 3 miles, Post Office is close by but this is Wauchula, there is not a Mall nearby, you are in the country. This is a VERY quiet campground, very relaxing.
We stayed here for a month while visiting the area and really enjoyed our stay. The park is clean and the owners/management are very friendly and helpful. We did not use the bathrooms or showers but because of the other reviewer's comments, I checked them out and they were very clean. The pool was closed and I asked the owner about it, she said they have not had it opened because it was not getting used. They currently don't have any tent sites in the park but are working to open a new tent area, when that is done I was told they may reopen the pool. It is just a wading pool, so really a kids pool. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again.
