Oceanfront camping was amazing. Site 3, our site was the best available. No one to our one side an we were able to leave blinds open all the time due to our elevation. The shade and ocean views were perfect. Beach is rocky and water a little chilly for our Southern tastes. Kids had a blast searching for shells while we sat in our beachchairs with our toes in the stones. Only desire was a pool. Bring your largest pot for lobster boils. Lots of local seafood close to camp. Ice was 3 dollars for a small bag, my only complaint.
As the owner is very nice the park in general is not maintained. Seasonal trailers seem to have been left behind years ago. Our view was of a trailer in complete disrepair and with trash stashed in all sorts of places. The sewer hookups are into barrels buried under your site. The water was not drinkable. Wi-Fi didn't make to our site. Pool looked clean and newer. Store was bare. My fiance noted this would make a great location to film a horror movie. (please accept this as my humor) Campground has or had potential. We are new to RVing (five previous and wonderful campgrounds) and this was by far a learning experience.
Our first stay with our new trailer. Lake front views are amazing if you can get one. Our site was very tight, after opening our bump out and the awning we nearly touched the neighbors. Campground is great tho. We want to return, Mackinaw Island was worth our long trip from NJ.
