Nice place; mostly seasonal. The campground was quite and clean; no frills. Be careful if you use a GPS to get there. You are pretty much in the middle of nowhere and the roads can get very narrow and winding. We have a 30ft travel trailer and at times didn't think we were going to make it there. Would stay again.
Nice place for a family vacation. The beach at the pond is nice but go early on weekends or you will not get a spot. Our site was near the office and very quite. My husband and I felt like we were the only people up past 10pm but this for me is far better than loud campers keeping my kids up all night. The only complaint I have is the price. It was pretty expensive to spend a week in a full hook-up site and then there were fees for the kids activites. The park was nice but definitely not worth the overblown price considering there wasn't much to do other than swim in the pond.
Nice family campground. Activities for the kids and nice swimming pool. Also it was a great location for visiting Ocean City Boardwalk and Beach. One drawback was it is definitely not big rig friendly. We have a 30 ft travel trailer and felt like we hit every tree branch from the front gate to our site. Roads are very narrow and winding. Other campers were really friendly seasonal and transient alike. Staff was knowledgeable about area. We would stay here again.
Pretty average park with big sites. Not much for kids to do. Small playground and arcade and teeny tiny laundry facility. We ended up driving to a laundermat about 10 miles from the campsite. All in all not a bad place. Everyone was pretty friendly no loud or obnoxious campers good for a home base while checking out area attractions. Restrooms could use some updating.
First off we were overcharged for our site. This was eventually corrected but we were initially told we would have to contact the cooperate office to have our credit card refunded. After we persisted it was handled by the campground office. Speaking of the office; the information sheet stated the office/store was open until 8:30 pm on weeknights and 9:30 on weekends but instead closed at 8pm every night of our 4 night stay including Friday and Saturday. When we questioned the "store manager" about this he said he was tired and needed to go home and eat. Bathrooms were clean enough during the day but no screens so at night quickly became infested with bugs. Also the staff ignored our honey wagon request stating that we had already used the service and shouldn't need it again. In all fairness they did give us a store credit and ended up arranging for the second pump out service but only after a lot of complaining on our part. It seemed like we spent our entire vacation trying to get mistakes straightened out and it seriously impacted on the time we were able to spend relaxing as a family. Also there were extremely long lines at the dump stations on Sunday when we left. All in all we would not camp here again even though it is a great location for visiting Mystic and the surrounding areas.
