As has been stated, this is not a destination campground but a very adequate location for a few nights. Sites are gravel and not very level, but doable. Not all sites have 50 amp. Utilities are uphill a bit on many of the sites. Great dog park - it was clean and secure at our visit. There are sites down below that looked a bit newer, wider, and more level. People were very friendly - even the residents. Easy to get to Charlotte,NC. Very nice new Publix Supermarket within a few miles. We would stay again when visiting Charlotte, as it is right on the line.
Nice campground right on Tybee Island. Lots to see right on the island and Savannah is close by. Parking fees everywhere on the island and in Savannah. Sites are a bit close on crushed stone. From what we could see about 50% are not very level...ours wasn't. Laundry was clean and all machines seemed to be in working order. $2.75 for wash and $2.00 to dry, so I only did one load to get us by. Campfires permitted - buy wood from them to prevent diseases or bugs. We would camp here again.
This was an easy in and out for an overnight. We had a pull through which was plenty long and fairly level. The café on site is a plus as we could get something to eat without unhooking the tow. Nothing fancy however we had the pulled pork special and it was very good. Discounts for Good Sam...probably others too. There are sites near 295 that might have road noise. We were near entrance and it was quiet. We would stay again.
This is a very nice park with helpful and friendly managers. They are doing a lot of work to improve and expand the facility. Pool, laundry, club house with kitchen, bathhouse - all clean. Fenced dog run. Large enough sites so you aren't on top of your neighbor. Sites are paved with concrete slab and patio and large enough for our 40' coach and the tow car. Not too many in shade. Limited cable - 12 channels, but the basics are all there. Mostly back in sites. I didn't see a pull-through, however I didn't look. Not far from town where there are interesting shops, restaurants, and lots of history. We enjoyed our stay and will be back again.
Very nice park and close to I-10. Large sites mostly without shade. Many pull through as well as some back in. Good FHU including Cable and Wi-Fi with a strong signal. Dog park has two areas for different size dogs to play in and is well shaded. Most guests pick up after their pets. People very friendly and owner/managers very nice and accommodating. Laundry was clean and $1.50 each machine. Not busy at the time I was using it. Easy trip to the NAS Museum and lighthouse. Lots of good restaurants as well as the chains. Grocery stores and Wal-Mart within 5 miles or so. We would stay again. Price is Good Sam discount.
Very nice state park with easy access road for big rig (40'). Gravel in the actual site area. Fairly good drainage - it was pouring when we arrived. Saw some poison ivy around that I was surprised wasn't taken care of, but nice walking trails, pet friendly, and very quiet at night. Some early fishermen leaving and launching boats. Canoe rentals available. Price reflects senior discount. Not too far from and easy on and off I-10. We would come back for another stay if in the area.
Very nice, laid back park. Good water pressure, 50 amp electric didn't fluctuate (and it was warm so lots of A/C running in the park and Wi-Fi was strong. Sites were a bit tight, but not really bad. Very friendly and helpful staff. Restaurant right on property for breakfast and lunch. Didn't check out the laundry. Lots of dogs with no special walking area. People were friendly and, for the most part, picked up after their dogs. Close to town with restaurants and shops. Relaxed time. We would come back.
We really enjoyed this campground. It has sites located on the side of the mountain in tiers. They are remarkably level for the motorhome itself even though the toad was on a slope. Trees and landscaping keep privacy between sites. Good cable TV – 65+ stations. Good Wi-Fi...not password protected. The 24/7 laundry was very clean and a good price...air conditioned too. Soap and softener for sale in the laundry room, as well as a change machine. It had a large table to fold laundry. Restrooms were very clean. We didn’t use the showers, but a peek into them found them very clean too. They even provide several different dog walking areas with “bags” and barrels in case you are walking your pet and are ‘surprised’. How many campgrounds do that? Available - 30 amp & 50 amp. They are building more sites up on the mountain, which will have spectacular views. Staff are very helpful and friendly…will give you a ride up to your site if you are down doing laundry, shopping in the store, or just chilling out on the porch. We definitely would come back.
This is an average campground that is an easy in and out from I-81. It has a little 'grill' for breakfast and lunch Fri-Sun. The sites were wide gravel mostly level. Grass strips between sites. Office staff was very nice and check in was smooth and easy. Fee shows Good Sam discount. Didn't use the showers or baths so can't comment there. My only negative besides it being like a parking lot with lots of gravel and little grass was the lack of enforcement of pet pick up. Our site was covered with 'deposits'. Even though we covered most of them with the motorhome, it was disgusting and smelly. It was obvious it was used by the regulars for their dog walk area. For that reason alone we will most likely not return.
Very nice 'adult' campground. Our back-in site easy accommodated our 40' motorhome with room for vehicle in front. Good cable service. Nice laundry with 2 washers and 4 dryers. Very well kept and clean. Sites are raked, level, and wide enough for privacy. Pull through and back in sites available, as well as tenting. Quiet campground right out on the marshes. Very serene and peaceful. Probably not great for children, no pool or playground. There wasn't a lot of area to walk a dog or I would have given it a 10. Wish more were like this. We would definitely return again, if in the area.
Nice campground. Has limited full hookups. They were all taken and only water/electric sites were available. Large pull-throughs with space between. OK for big rigs (40' or so) with tow. Fenced dog area. I thought the price was a bit steep for not full hookup and KOA discount. We would stay again for overnight.
Secluded privacy with large sites. Some are very long back-ins. Plenty of room for slides. Most have woods between sites. Gravel roads were good. Extra fee for 50 amp. ATT cell signal non-existant. Verizon signal worked. Up fee for 50 amp=$2/night. Fee is with Good Sam discount. Free Cable TV which is decent and Free Wi-Fi. Pool and playground. Laundry 24/7 with decent rates. I liked the posting of the time the machines take so I could leave and return. Veterinary information posted in laundry for emergency. Not too busy when we were here so lots of peace and quiet. We would definitely camp here again.
About 6 miles from I-81 in the woods of NY. Pull thru sites are in a line at the top of the hill. Get directions. Don't trust your GPS. Staff was very friendly and helpful with directions when we left. Power (50 AMP) was good. Lots of seasonal or full timers near the lake. Quiet and peaceful. No road noise. Access is on paved road that turns to dirt which was full of pot holes and mud from lots of rain when we came in. We had no problem with a 40' motorhome with a toad. WiFi and AT&T cell was non existent, limited cable with poor quality, satellite impossible due to trees.
This park is strictly a weekly or monthly campground now. One or two nights are not allowed unless you want to pay the weekly rate. Easy in and out and lots to do in the area if you hike and love nature. Very busy park, so I guess they can get away with not having short stay campers.
Our site was near the highway, and there was definite noise. Quiet hours at night were not enforced as children were running around and noisy after 10 PM. Easy in and out. Good space between sites and lots for kids to do. Nice grassy dog walking areas. Cable is basic and not very good. WiFi has a fee. AT&T cell was good. Power was 30 AMP which worked for us by juggling usage, but that might not work for some larger motorhomes. Rate is Good Sam discount which seems a bit high for just water and 30 AMP electric. We would probably stop again if going through the area.
Very nice campground with good space between sites. Gravel roads. Our site was electric (50 amp) and water only as the full hookup sites were taken. Price reflects a Good Sam discount. Very quiet and the staff couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. Led us to various sites and let us choose location. Satellite reception and cell phone (AT&T) were very good. Easy on and off Rt 19. We would camp here again.
Very nice campground. Price reflects a Good Sam discount. Quiet even with some more permanent residents. Not a lot for kids. More adult campers. You are shown to your site. Very nice, friendly staff/owners. Dog pen is small, but nice to let your furry friend off leash. Well maintained campground and easy in and out.
This was our first stay at Fair Harbor and we will be back. Easy in and out from the interstate. Quiet and peaceful sites. They are not spacious, but plenty of room to feel comfortable. Utilities worked fine. Easy walking area for dog and us. Very friendly staff. Rate reflects Good Sam discount.
A very nice resort. Nice open view of the mountains, which were getting close to peak foliage. Easy access in and out. Nice long area to unhook and hook up your toad. Pet friendly; there are open fields to walk dog(s) which will eventually become RV sites. Plenty of room between sites and friendly people, even though we sort of got off to a bad start with the manager who said we couldn't use the gazebo on the site then said we could. Good 50A service. Good satellite reception. No shaded sites. We stayed three nights and hope to come back.
We were in site 114 and, although it was tight maneuvering a 40' RV into it, it was great. Unhook area is level as was our site. Trees and shrubs give privacy at many sites. Good 50A service and water pressure. Nice laundry area and only $1.50 per load to wash and $1.50 to dry. Recycle bins for aluminum, plastic, paper, and glass. Hiking, biking, dog walking paths all over the park. Dog waste bag stations in many places along paths. Campers get free admission to facilities. Dog park is surrounded by water with swimming area for dogs. Small dogs have a separate area. We hope to come back and stay longer. Very nice campground with friendly staff and campers.
This is a cash only campground with limited overnight spots due to the "permanents". Don't let the website fool you. That was probably when it was new. Dog next door barked for hours until owner came back. Sand everywhere which comes in on feet both human and animal if you have pets. Big bump getting into and out of campground. I felt a bit creepy when we even just walked dogs. Just barely OK for overnight, but not much going for it otherwise. Sites were tight/narrow.
The other reviews are right on; a unique campground area and concept with limited number of sites making it feel very exclusive and private. The first/only RV&B we have seen. Easily accommodates large motorhomes with tows if you have one. Very nice and clean laundry facility. Kitchen privileges if desired. Nice dog walking areas. Gazebo with swing and table located overlooking the mountains where you can relax with a drink, book, or bring up a meal. The rate reflects choosing to not have breakfast.
We love this campground. This is our second time there and we stayed for two weeks - thus the discounted rate. 50 amp power, water, sewer, beautiful views and quiet. Enjoyed hiking, shopping, restaurants, and parks right in the area. Very hospitable owners with a wealth of knowledge of the area. We will be back again soon.
We were down in the back area which was very quiet with only a few campers. Some late arrivals came in but not noisy. Grass site. Level. Good place for an overnight & close to I-75. A bit pricey for a Good Sam park, since we weren't using a cable site. We would camp here again.
OK for an overnight. The water was discolored & smelled of Sulphur. Might be because we took what seemed to be the last site available & may not have been used frequently. Very quiet and pleasant otherwise. We have stayed before and probably will again on the way through. Pleasant manager. Cash or check only.
Good place for an overnight or longer if you play golf. Good Sam discount. New Owners who plan to clean it up and install concrete pads. Grass/gravel now. Easy in and out. Quiet and peaceful. We would stay again.
We found this piece of paradise totally by chance and fell in love with it. If you love peace, quiet, nature, and dynamite views, this is the place for you. You stay in your motor-coach but breakfast is available if you wish - organic, wholesome, fresh and delicious. Unique concept, unique campground, unique and gracious owners/host/hostess. Not for families with kids who need playgrounds, swimming pools and scheduled activities. This is for relaxing, unwinding, and communing with nature at its best. Hiking, tubing, white-water rafting, arts & craft shopping, or just reading a book in their gazebo-its all in the area. We will be coming back often.
