In my opinion this is the nicest State Park in Tennessee. Beautiful scenery, wildlife, hiking trails and campground. The restaurant is a plus. I would recommend this park to anyone. You can't go wrong with this park. The only thing that some may not find appealing is that it is not near any towns but if you are well prepared to camp you wouldn't need to shop.
The park looked as if it had not had attention in some time. There was trash on the grounds and the grass, what there was of it, needed mowing. Also even after I specifically told the lady at check-in that it was very necessary that I had wireless internet service the service was non-existent. She assured me at check-in that I would have no problems with the service but I was never able to connect and when I realized there was no service she had already left and closed the office. The was no way to contact her or anyone else for help. I will not stay at this park again.
This is our favorite park. We go here as often as we can. The grounds are always clean and well manicured. The staff is excellent. The only thing that I don't like is the slow wireless internet service. I have a business and much stay in touch by internet and sometimes it is just impossible. This park is very close to shopping, dining and the beach. My husband loves to fish so this is a great park which is close to fishing, saltwater or fresh water.
I can't say enough good things about this park. Very nice park. Well kept. Friendly and helpful staff. Flowers blooming at every site. Large concrete patios. Paved roads through out. Bathhouses were sparkling clean. Landscape was very groomed. No trash on grounds. Privacy fence around entire park. Always something going on in the clubhouse. Great park. Will go back as many times as possible.
Don't waste you time. Very cramped sites. Very over priced. Staff very friendly and helpful. Very noisy, quiet hour from 10 - 8 but people were up and making a lot of noise at 6 am. Will not stay here again.
