One of the nicest parks we have visited. Very clean and well maintained. Abundant trees and shade but strategically pruned so as not to be intrusive. Many park models and seasonal residents and all seemed cordial. The guys who escort people to their sites are very competent. The overall experience is restful. There is a small amount of traffic noise but not distracting. Gripes: no cable TV for those staying less than a month, Wi-Fi not available at sites, and once a morning garbage pickup (taking your own garbage to the dumpster at your convenience is not allowed). Daily rate is $50 with Good Sam discount. So...pricey but nice and we really enjoyed our stay.

We stayed at three campgrounds in the Asheville area and that was our favorite by far. Quite a few people are here for a month or more and it's easy to see why. It's quiet, very well maintained, level sites, wi-fi works well. Ours was a pull-thru, which is always easier than backing in. There seems to be quite a sense of community here among the longer term people. There is a very decently equipped exercise room. The nearby town of Hendersonville is worth exploring, and the Carl Sandburg home is not to be missed. With good reason, this place is very popular and reservations go quiickly. Although it was hotter than hades in most of the country, we never had to run our a/c here at all! Great climate!

Terrific facility. A little hard to find, and we found some of the roads leading to it to be a little tight. The place was full but it didn't seem crowded. Very clean and well maintained. Nice level site. Tons of kids but we weren't bothered by them. Close to Charleston, which is its major attraction to us. The only problem is the place is so popular that you clearly need to reserve far in advance if you want to be here on a weekend.

All pull thru sites. Nice and level. Paved roads throughout. Very adequate space between sites. Very helpful, friendly staff. Escort to site. Some shady spots. WiFi works like a charm. Easy access from highway, but road noise is minimal. Absolutely nothing to complain about, except KOA prices which are kind of high...but there are a lot of amenities, like a pool, which we don't use. CATV has Fox Business News, which seems kind of rare. Nice touch.

Seemingly out in the middle of nowhere. Getting there was a little hair raising. Roads have multiple, confusing names. Turns out to be very close to historic Savannah. Not a lot of other campers nearby. Wi-Fi didn't work at all and a voice mail left for management went unanswered. Poor customer service. Site was pretty level, electric, water, cable TV were fine. But the hands off approach and useless Wi-Fi are distinct liabilities. Good value. No pool, no showers, no toilets -- but if you don't need that stuff and want convenient access to old Savannah, this place is just fine. No noisy kids or neighbors. Just indifferent management.

Expectations may have been too high given the many rave reviews, but we found the facility had some downsides. First, it really seems quite crowded. The sites are rather close together. Moreover, tow vehicles park in front of the RVs. Some don't get in as close as they could, making the roadways a bit narrow at times. All those trucks, cars, cycles, etc. out front contribute to a sense of clutter. Finally, despite the claim of Wi-Fi, the signal at our site was so weak as to be unusable 90% of the time. I had to go to the laundry/shower area to get acceptable signal strength, and even then the bandwidth was pretty marginal. Picky stuff, perhaps, but for the price I had expected first class.
