Picked this park on a last minute stopover and was really pleasantly surprised! By far the nicest KOA park we have stayed at. Highly shaded, level lots, and very friendly personnel. We wish we could have stayed longer!

This was the second time we spent at Alpen and is one of the best RV park's we have stayed in. Only minutes outside of Durango. Easy in/out and very level spacious sites. All the staff is very friendly. A reasonably priced all you can eat breakfast is offered everyday. If you have a dog it will enjoy the large enclosed dog run area. The Silverton/Durango coal fired steam train runs just outside the park.

Stayed here as a member of Sunrise Resorts. The sites are fairly level, but close together. We had a triangle shaped spot in a corner that gave us more room but we noticed other spaces had marginal room with open slides. Office staff was very friendly. There is a lot of night traffic noise if you're parked by the main road. Great lake views with benches and picnic tables. Stayed here for a week and will stay again when in the area.

Very nice park located 10 minutes from Port Angeles harbor area. Very friendly staff. A few of the sites are not very level but the one we had was pretty good. This is a very quiet park and was a pleasure to stay at. Will definitely stay there again.

Stayed here as a member of Sunrise Resorts. Phase I is out in the open and the spaces are very close together. Phase II is on the lower level and extremely shaded. Phase II spaces are semi-level. We had trouble fitting our 40' without hitting the overhanging tree branches. This Phase is a better fit for Class B & C rigs. Cable TV was terrible. We had better reception from our antenna. Park speed and quiet time are not enforced. Fireworks going off after midnight. Would not be my first choice in this area.
