The entrance to get in is only wide enough for 1 vehicle never mind 2 trucks pulling campers. The interior roads are a shambles, potholes, ruts and steep hills and super narrow. The electrical system is outdated with only 30 amp. The voltage was fluctuating the entire length of my stay. I had to shut down the pwr management system so the power would stay on. The water was on one side of the site and the electrical on the other. The cable TV wire was up in a tree and I had to search for it. The sites were a nice size but need serious amounts of gravel to level them out. We would not go back to this campground.
We stayed here for a week. The roads were narrow and people were parked everywhere. The tent section brought in numerous undesirables. There were so many tents it looked like New Orleans after Katrina. The rules were never enforced and kids were driving golf carts like idiots. The office staff and many of the campers were French Canadian and could not have been any more rude. There were a group of inner city kids taking part in a boot camp type of rehabilitation. If I wanted to camp with that element I would have stayed in an inner city. There were numerous incidents of theft from campsites and unlocked vehicles in the time I was there. I will never patronize this place again, I felt unsafe and was not comfortable with the crowd of unruly people who were staying here.
It seems that this campground has fallen into a state of disrepair. The sites needed the grass cut along with weed whacking and the site had 4X4's boxed out to back into. They were rotting and decomposed. This was a beautiful campground several years ago, I don't know what happened. I do not think that I will visit this campground again. The water lines are above ground and exposed and the sites had barely any stone on them and were all unlevel.
