This is by far the nicest, cleanest park that we have ever visited. Exceptional staff, wide paved bicycle paths throughout, two pools, sandy beach, sites are level and wide. We camped here for six nights and didn't want to leave. We never went into the parks, and there was still plenty to do at campground. LOVE this park!!

Very nice and clean park. Lake is beautiful and fishing is allowed. Pool looked clean, but we weren't here long enough to use it. The sites are level and concrete. Plenty of water pressure and electricity. We will stay here again.

We camped here as an overnight on way to Orlando. Park is ok, but site pads are grass. Therefore, when it rains as it did while we were here, there are puddles and mud everywhere. You can't even walk to the pool without getting muddy. Ok place to camp, but we will not be returning.

We were in site #54 while visiting this area. Sites were level, all facilities were well-maintained, and staff was very friendly. However, our voltage meter was in the red (low) the entire stay and the Wi-Fi is slow. Management worked with us to try to correct both issues. Park was full, which may have been cause of both problems. Having said that, I rated this park 9/10 and would definitely recommend and stay here again.

This RV park has recently become a KOA and as the previous reviewer stated, there are things they are still working out. Park has a nice pool, exercise room, level sites and a very friendly staff. There are some full timers towards the front of the park (away from the water), but everyone we met was friendly and helpful. They have a fairly new 500 foot pier that is well-lit at night and includes a cleaning station. Our family LOVED this. We are now saltwater fishing addicts! We stayed in Site B1, which had a nice shade tree and view. Yes, it is windy, but with the Texas heat, the winds serves to cool you off. In the evenings, it was almost cool (and we're Texans). We camped here with kids and will definitely be returning!

We really enjoyed this rather new park in Sulpher. All concrete camp sites, water/electric/sewer/cable with picnic table, stocked pond in center of park. VERY nice laundry and bath facilities. The laundry includes an iron and ironing board as well as sink and folding tables. There are security cameras set up in various places around the park so we didn't hesitate to allow the kids to play outside. The owners really take pride in their facility and are friendly. The only reason that I did not rate this park a (10) ten is because there are no shade trees, and being located in Louisiana, means HEAT in the summer!

We stayed here for one night on the way to Disney World. The park is very pretty and to be off of I-10, there was very little noise. Our kids enjoyed the swimming pool, which was clean. We were there for Mother's Day, and the morning of, they held a pancake breakfast with bacon, sausage, eggs, milk, juice and coffee. All mothers ate for free, while my husband and children ate for a small fee ($4/$2). The staff were all VERY friendly and accommodating. The only reason I did not rate this park a 10 is because they allow the public to come in during the day (for a fee) and utilize the swimming pool, playground and putt-putt course, which allows for a "crowd" at the pool. If in the area, we would stay here again.

What can you say? It IS Disney, after all. This is a beautiful park. We stayed in the 1300 Loop in site 1306. It was beautifully wooded with the canal wrapping around. The campsites are spacious, all concrete, and with trees (shrubs) in between, private. Electric carts are available to rent, but being close to bus stops and the pool, we had no need for one. We were here for almost a week and really enjoyed the park itself. There's fishing allowed in the canals, the swimming pool (1 of 2) has a play area for toddlers as well as a water slide and there are plenty of walking/biking trails. The negatives to the park are pricing of necessities at trading post (I ran out of coffee and instead of running into town, paid $6.75 for Folgers!) and compared to the other resorts, the restaurant availability (hours open and food selection) was not to our liking. Having said that, we will definitely stay here again!

Sites were level and clean, but close together. Pool was clean and nice, and rules are strictly enforced. Nice park and super close to Sea World. We didn't have any trouble and our kids enjoyed it! Wi-Fi is available for a minimum fee. We would camp here again.

Level sites, very quiet, beautiful views. Mr. Salmon has moved in many buildings - some are cabins and some have been "refurbished" ex.:Jail, etc. The lake is sandy bottom and spring fed; very clean. There is room for bike riding, a train available on the weekends and a camp store. We love to camp here!

We camped in a double site, number 29. It was away from the other sites. Edges of lake were clean and the grass was mowed. The site was beautiful. We had a double-covered picnic area with a fire ring. Traffic was low in this area, so that the kids were able to ride their bicycles. Sites were level and shaded. Very nice!

Fort Parker is a nice little getaway. I agree with the other reviews. There are canoes and kayaks for rent, a NICE playground, and a nature center. If you like bird watching, you will be in heaven. The park was quiet. Campsites 25 & 24 or 1 & 2 are good sites, if you're travelling with friends. The other sites, #'s 13 - 17 were more level, more shaded, and offer more privacy from other campers.

Very clean, very nice park. It sits up so that you can see the Dam and lake. The view is awesome. The pool, hot tub, game room and exercise room were all clean and well-maintained. The bathrooms are private and again, clean. We camped in pull-thru #58, by the pool. We will definitely stay here again.

This is the most beautiful State Park in Texas. There is plenty of hiking and the river, for swimming. We camped in Site #26 in Old Garner. It is the closest site to the river that we found. The Park is very large, full of deer and other wildlife. We weren't there long enough. The water is crystal clear and perfect for swimming, although a little on the cool side in October. We will be going back!

We camped here because they were running a "2 nights for the price of 1" special. It was well worth every penny. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. The laundry facilities were well-lit and relatively inexpensive. The swimming pool and hot tub were very clean. We really enjoyed our stay here and would do so again.

There isn't a whole lot to this State Park other than the ocean. Your only about 30 feet from the beach, which is nice. The sites were fairly level and spaced apart. We would definitely camp here again, just for the proximity to the beach.

This was a beautiful park. We were camped in A1. It is across from two playgrounds, which our kids loved, well-shaded, and still with a river view. All of the sites were level, most were shaded and as other reviewers have noted, there was ample space between sites. They have several dump stations and the park is very well-maintained. We will definitely stay here again.
