Great little park. Close to town. Two years ago it was only $20 to camp here. Last year it was $30. The park was near empty during our stay. Their new rates are too high!
It's right off the freeway. That's the best thing about this park. The whole property is rolling and uneven making it difficult to level out. The folks were friendly and the camping was cheap.
We spent most of the winter here and all was very pleasant. The park is big, but still feels cozy. All facilities were brand new and wonderful. The front entrance has gated access, so we felt safe. We will be back.
Have you ever been to Lawrence? It's about as all American as any town there is or ever has been. This KOA is only a mile or two from downtown. Quilting stores, darn wholesome home cooking, wicked strong cocktails and squishy cheeked college kids are everywhere. Oh, this KOA is awesome!
Friendly and considerate, this park is a bit run down, but also very comfortable. Getting in and out of the place while towing can be a hazard because the road is busy and the traffic is fast. We will be back.
It's located literally in the ghetto. You are surrounded by razor wire and hoodlums. The front desk lady is rude and flakey. We hated this place. The staff keeps the park spotless.
