A classic KOA, when we first arrived I almost pulled through and left due to location, but once inside the campground we were pleased. Great sites, friendly staff, excellent restrooms and the chef makes an INCREDIBLE green chili-sausage gravy (I recommend it on the pancakes). Also a clean pool and playground.

After spending 4 nights in the N.F. outside of Silverton we stumbled upon Alpen Rose with no reservation and 2 tired boys. From the moment Gerald Connors greeted us in his golf cart we felt at home. They gave us a space in the shade and made us feel at ease. We had a tasty breakfast the next morning and did all of our laundry. My 4 year old son and I caught a fine rainbow trout from the trout pond (3.50) that fed us all for lunch. We decided to stay an extra night and were able to go out and enjoy Durango. I will stay here again and wish all the staff at Alpen Rose my best. We are a young family in an Airstream and sometimes feel out of place at RV parks, but we found the Alpen Rose friendly and warm.

It is the only full hookup site in the Yellowstone Park and with that being said it was very satisfactory. Lots of woods and wildlife. Use extreme bear caution and wildlife etiquette. Close proximity sites, but who cares, Your not there to camp as much as to see the sights. 3.25 for a good hot shower and a very friendly staff.

Good park in a good location for touring Yellowstone. They are doing construction on one end of the park, adding more spaces, but it should end soon. A bit pricey, but not for that area.

What a great KOA. We drove an extra 108 miles past Casper just to get to this one. We arrived after hours, yet the host greeted us and opened the store for us. They were very friendly and informative on the facilities. The bathrrom/showers were very private and very clean. Our son had a blast on the playground and looking at the teepees. We will always reccomend this stop.

Excellent park with a VERY friendly staff. Owner was very friendly and welcoming. Our two year old son enjoyed the playground and seeing the camp fox and rabbits. The general store has ample items and the campsite is wooded and very clean. It is an excellent stop if heading through Colorado and it is a nice detour off of I25. We will definitely stay there again.
