This park is no longer RV'er friendly. A new owner purchased the park in July 2010 and no longer honors any club discounts. Minimum charge for an overnight stay is $30. The park is still advertised in several club directories. The camp host stated that the new owner didn’t care. He doesn’t know anything about RV parks. This is his first one, and he had it written in the purchase contract that he didn’t have to honor any past park commitments. With the isolated location the park gets lots of RV'ers from the club directories. Then in a classic bait and switch, the host must tell you, in the case of Passport America, it is now $20 more to spend the night or you can go another 80 miles on down the road and find someplace else.
This is a retirement community with lots of activities. A great setting. The people were all very friendly. The park was beautiful with the cactus just starting to bloom. We had planned to stay a couple of days and ended up staying a month. We will be back next year for sure.
