A very nice little park with very friendly folks. Maneuvering's a bit tight, but doable. Site was a bit off level. Rate is full rate-- no PA in June. Park entry is on a curve in the road, so access and egress can be tricky. Manager watched traffic for us on departure. Arriving, we took Exit 18, avoiding grade and tight curves (40ft MH with tow). When approaching the park from west, look for pale green commercial buildings on the right. Entry is on the right IMMEDIATELY after! Managers interrupted their dinner to greet us. Park is very well kept, with trees, very pleasant atmosphere. We just stayed one overnight, but they were very helpful with sightseeing info, etc. I would stay there again.
Rate listed is Passport America. At first they said "No PA discount on pull-throughs", which seemed strange until I realized they're set up back-to-back, so if you make it a pull-through you are effectively using two sites. Then she said take the back-in but you can pull right through because the site in back is vacant. Just move your car. Nice folks. A simple, straightforward place. Sites are level gravel, utility connections in good shape. Staff is super friendly and on top of things. Their propane price is good. The town is real nice. We stayed two nights just checking the place out. I'll stay there again.
The Mountain Valley RV Park is just a mile or two off CA 58 in Tehachapi, right beside the Mountain Valley Airport. Easy access, good directions, no impediments on the local roads, and even for big rigs w/towed. Casual atmosphere with very nice, accommodating folks. The entire park is neat and well-kept. The roads are paved and the spots are gravel surfaced. Electric service(30,50) is in good repair and reliable. Water pressure is good. There are no sewer connections, but there is a dump station. The spots are level or very close to level. The rest rooms are very clean and well cared for. Our base rate was $30, but we paid $25.50 with 15% Escapees discount. Excellent spot for an overnight or short stay. I would certainly return here.
We came here for a couple of nights just to visit Hoover Dam, which is very convenient. Also it is very close to Vegas, although we didn't bother. The park is family owned and operated - very friendly folks on the phone. The park is well kept and neat. Everything in good condition. Roads are paved and sites are crushed stone. Our site was level. Very convenient to groceries, hardware, etc. I would return here without hesitation.
