This was a very quiet campground and can handle 40' rigs OK. The sites are flat, not necessarily level. I could level, but had to lift the tire off the ground on one side as did a couple of others there. The owner is very nice and friendly. There is more work than she can handle and she is a little behind on cleaning up flowers and things. There are mountains around and beautiful to look at except for the large electrical substation right in front of the entrance. It is very visible from many of the sites. We did enjoy our stay and the Boone area is very accessible from the campground. There is a lot to do and see in the area and restaurants are great. We stayed 3 weeks and will likely return.
We were here to do genealogy stuff in Albemarle. It is very convenient to there. The campground owners/staff were very friendly and helpful. The sites are fairly level with only 2 sites for larger coaches. Several long term people here and all were friendly. All roads and sites are gravel. We took the time to do some panning for gold and found some flakes. We did not use the shower or restrooms. The laundry was out of order while we were there. We stayed 6 nights and will definitely be back.
We were in Charlotte to visit family and we did enjoy being in the Charlotte Motor Speedway area. We went to the ZMax drag strip and it is great. It is sort of like camping in a parking lot, but it is clean and leavel with full hookups. Great shopping very close.
