We camped 3 nights and the facility is a large campground kept very neat and tidy. Paved roads throughout the campground. Easy escorted pull-through and back-in sites. Our site was located on the lake and you could literally throw a fishing line from your picnic table if you wanted to. The lake made it easy to relax while watching the ducks and listening to the water fountains. There is a small restaurant where we ate on the first night but we weren't very impressed as it was very basic and TV dinner quality. You could hear the traffic from I-95, but once inside our coach for the night, it seemed to be less noticeable. There is a Walmart/Home Depot shopping center with in a mile from this park. A huge Camping World Store is about about 15 minutes away. It is very convenient on and off the interstate while traveling. The office staff is friendly and helpful. The laundry facility was clean with plenty of machines. Overall our stay was very pleasant and we would stay again in the future.
We stayed at this park for 1 night and we were located 1 space from the dune to access the ocean. This was not exactly beach weather, but we were able to walk the shore and very much enjoyed beach-combing for shells. The staff was friendly and courteous. The park was large with nice paved roads though-out. Overall we had a nice quiet overnight stay and would stay again in the future.
Very nice campground! Very quiet and clean in every respect. We stayed during a Harvest Weekend with music, craft fair, train rides, and ice cream social. We stayed after the prime season so pools were closed. The pull-through sites are very long and spacious. Very well manicured around asphalt pads. Employees were friendly and accommodating. Easy check-in with golf cart escort to assigned site. Will definitely return during peak season.
Second of three Halloween weekends! Very crowded with a whole lot of children everywhere. Heads up or you could be run-down by wayward bicyclers. Lots of activities for the entire family. We took our 7 year old granddaughter and she very much enjoyed the trick or treating at participating campsites. Our campsite #342 was very spacious and we had plenty of room to spare. Very close to general store, mini golf and playground. It appears there's no rhyme or reason to how the campsites are organised as far as tent verses RV's. Most tent campers had fires going which made the area extremely smoked up to the point it irritated the eyes and nose. The only rule I did not agree with was not allowing 1 day reservations. We did not want to stay for 2 days. When you pay to make the crossing via Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel ($$), you don't want to get there and be turned away because you are a walk in and there's no site available. Overall, cleanliness, level sites and pleasant personnel made this a successful stay.
