Quiet, clean and friendly...rural setting with plenty of room. Only about 20% occupied when we visited. Sites not well defined, but grassy. Not much shade. Watch for sprinkler activity. Plenty of areas to walk the dogs. Adjacent to main road, but not much activity late night hours, so no problem. We got one TV station on antenna, none on the digital converter. We were there a couple of days exploring the area and would go back.

We stopped over for one night, and very much enjoyed this state park. Plenty of space to walk our dogs, easy pull through access, level paved sites. Showers clean, with a charge of $.25/minute w/4 minute minimum, which was plenty. A slight inconvenience if you forget the quarters. I can imagine the park being packed in the high season. If you enter after hours, pay attention to the instructions. It will tell you which spaces are available. Having to use two payment envelopes ($22 for camping, $6 for access) was a bit inconvenient as well if you don't have the right change. River close by and small lake w/lots of waterfowl close by.

Great place for us. Good Wi-Fi, laundry, store, cell phone reception and all amenities great. Great areas for dog walking. Drawbacks were no grass or shade, but we don't stick around during the day, so this not a big factor. Very friendly up front and very pet friendly. Numerous front desk folks and they all seemed to have dogs that rode around on the guide golf carts. Dual sewer hookups for those with separate black/grey tanks. Small nature trail for dog or people walking that goes 3/4 around a lake with all kinds of feathered friends abounding. Lack of shade and grass maybe not so good for campers.

This is a great park for camping. Sites were large, shady with nice, grassy areas on our site and firepits. A great place to get away from it all. It was not for us, however. Wi-Fi was available for $6.95 for a 24 hour period, $19.95 for a week. Pay phone available and office phone available for $.25/local call. It had only been open for a few days, so benefit of doubt given here. Wife says her shower was hot. Mine was luke warm at best in two trys. And, even knowing it was quite a ways from any town, it was too far for us, as we enjoy going out to dinner, that sort of thing. We moved after one night and were told that the rest of our reservation would be refunded, tho I didn't expect it. We'll see. We consider ourselves travelers as opposed to campers and moved to town.

Delightful experience, especially if you have dogs...best dog run we've experienced plus acres of running ground all around. Great base camp for exploring in all four directions including Yellowstone. WiFi worked instantly and clear. Operators are great...guide you in your spot and are very helpful in all ways, including hooking you up. It's a wee bit cramped...much of it laid out as "buddy" spots, side by side with 40-50 feet of grass in between. No television (unless you have your own dish, of course). About 3/4 mile to Henry's Lake, but that's only meaningful if you fish. Lots of rivers and streams in the area. It is a 30 minute ride to the nearest store though a few items on site.

New owner as of the first of the year. Well kept, clean restrooms, nice place for dogs. A little cramped, but very doable. Would return without hesitation.

We stay here whenever in area and are consistently pleased. Only reason for the 9 is silly enough. Limited cable access and no ESPN, a drawback during football season. Operator says expense outweighs need and many have satellite now anyway. We do not.

Don't often give 10s, but this one deserving. Very nice self-contained shower/restrooms. Excellent dog walk area. Staff friendly and helpful. On call mobile repair outfit prompt, knowledgeable and reasonable. Park is new, very clean, spacious. No road noise. Will stop again when in the area.

Nice sites, but could get cramped during the high season...only 5 or 6 sites occupied when we were there. Smallish, very green and clean. Had to work a bit to level up trailer. Restroom/showers were undergoing a remodel, so could not check out. Nice Souvenir store. Management very friendly.

Roomy sites, wide open sites with plenty of space to exercise our dogs, convenient to highway. It was just a quick stopover..over 70 degrees wnen we got there, 4 inches of snow on us the next morning. We would stay there again. Manager friendly and helpful.

Great for dogs. Lots of grassy space and an inviting river. Can imagine sellouts during the summer. New building with 5 additional shower combos going in. Very clean facilities. We stay here whenever in area, but not during summer months.

Great for the off season. We were told that rigs can be stacked up 4 or 5 deep waiting for cancellations during the summer, so reservations a must. Huge dog walking area, great for our 3 dogs. Very clean and friendly. Perhaps a little pricey, but worth it.

Many shady sites with lots of room, some sites accommodate two rigs. Concrete pads, mostly level with plenty of space between sites. Exceptional for a state park. Lakeside walking paths. Area abounds with waterfowl. Fishing appears to good though we don't fish. Maximum 10hp motors allowed on boats. Each loop has friendly hosts and Rangers are on site. We were told that the park is very crowded during summer months. Elevation of 6500' makes this ideal for the Phoenix/Tucson folks. Perfect place for laid back shoulder season travel. We travel with 3 dogs and they loved the place.

Clean, sites close together, didn't get to meet staff, as they close the office pretty early (6 pm?). With no staff to consult, we didn't have restroom code, had to knock on neighbor's door after dark. Park is nice, but compact, fairgrounds imparted a slight odor. Nice for a stopover or if you have a fairground activity.

Campground is heavily wooded with trails and open recreational areas, beautifully green, adjacent to an impressive (Clackamas) river, though no riverside sites. Equestrian park nearby. Convenient to Portland area. Sites are sizeable and relatively private.
