We called ahead and they were friendly and gave us an easy to find spot because they would be not be there after we arrived. It was a beautiful 360 view just out of the busy part of town. The staff were friendly and helpful. The bathrooms and showers are beautiful and clean just like home. The handicap facilities are huge and able to accommodate a wheel chair. These facilities are the best I have ever seen. The spots are large and clean. There are plenty of old machines placed very nicely around the park which is great for going on a quiet stroll and looking at them. Easy access to drive downtown. I loved this place and would love to come back. We were only going to stay for 2 days and ended up staying for 5. These people really care about the environment and have plenty of solar panels that help supply power to the park. This park deserves the highest rating.
Although this is the most expensive site we ever stayed in, it was worth it. The sites are the longest and widest we have ever stayed in. They have lots of cabins of all sizes and everyone had fire pits and BBQ's, even at the RV sites. There is a large pool and a couple of different playgrounds, ground chess and checker boards even grass bowling lanes. Very quiet with friendly staff and lots of squirrels. Shuttles go back and forth to downtown and tours are available.
This park is very run down for a Good Sam and the showers were disgusting with filthy shower curtains. The park is very noisy from the freeway. We were on one side of the park without sewer I assume all the sewer is on the other side where they have monthly renters. Staff very unfriendly and defensive about some issues we discussed. Would never recommend this park even for the night.
Nice park lots of kid friendly areas. Not enough bathrooms for the size of park. It's a long walk to do laundry and the machines take cards you put money on at the desk. You can only put on dollar amounts but the machines are $+cents so after doing a few loads there was 25 cents left on the card and they said they cannot get it off the card so they keep it...seems odd.
We stayed at this place because of the perks. They have a shuttle that takes you to the French Quarter a couple times a day and picks you up until 8pm for only $5 a person. We stayed during Mardi Gras and it cost more for 3 days around that time, but it was very reasonable. The sites were very large, and all had picnic tables. Laundry was clean. Staff at the office was were not very friendly and we didn't want to go and ask for information. Would come back and stay here. Loved the location.
Pulled in just for the night, and the office staff was very friendly and helpful. We were looking for some ice, and they went and got us some from their fridge. So nice of them. The place was clean and quiet, and we would stay again. The price was fantastic. The internet was one of the best we had across 4 states, much appreciated.
