This is a huge RV park with an excellent location in South Lake, Tahoe. There is a swimming pool, cable TV, nice pull throughs for set up. Great dog walks, close to shopping, the lake, and many site seeing spots. Unfortunately, the bathrooms are filthy every morning. They need to be cleaned early before the morning crowd shows up. The water is not drinkable. It has a strong chlorinated smell and taste. We really like this location, but because of the water and bathrooms we may not stay again. This was the most we paid for a site so far on our trip.
This is a great RV park. They have everything you need and we were glad to stay 3 nights. The swimming pool was very clean and refreshing. Not crowded. We visited local sites and had a fine time. Good walks for the dogs, very clean park. I would stay here again.
This is an old campground with narrow roads, dusty sites, but nice trees. There was essentially no amenities, except a store and laundry that we did not use. We are new to RVing, and found that this park was pretty sparse. It was close to town and easy to find. Host was a great help getting us set up. He found us a board to level the rig and helped us move to a better spot. All in all, I would not make this a destination spot, but is okay for a stop over to another place.
We stayed at Highlands for only one night, but really liked this park. The dogs had a very nice patch of grass to visit, with a trout stream included. We were new to RVing and did not know about cable TV. The owners helped me figure out what to buy and get hooked up. I would recommend this park anytime. Very clean sites and bathrooms.
