Rate reflects Passport America. Park is OK for an overnight stop. We had a site with electric only yet were charged the same rate as others with full service. Park is definitely not worth $40/night! Passport America listing shows they have a gas station and also a pay telephone (cell coverage was non-existant for us) - yet both were long gone. Electric is only 15 amp and even though we hardly ran anything, the breaker kept tripping and necessitated a trip to the office to get it reset. We gave up on it. I doubt we would stop here again.
This was a very nice park that was well cared for. Their website advertised a rate of $32 yet they insisted the rate was $36. After a discussion they honored the advertised rate which was appreciated. The laundry was clean and prices reasonsble. Voltage was a problem even though we hardly had anything turned on. Park was convenient to a good supermarket and several fast food outlets.
Rate reflects Passport American discount. We camped in the new area. The office is not located in the new area which makes it inconvenient for registration (not recommended to drive RV down road to the office area) and for obtaining information from staff, etc. We were looking forward to enjoying the hot tub and the jetted therapy pool. The hot tub was not heated to a safe temperature and the therapy pool advertised as being 95* was not heated at all. The pool however was a decent size and depth, and was heated while we were here but we did hear complaints from others that it was not always heated. The sites were large and had decent picnic tables. Many sites had star gazer lounge chairs which were a novel idea. The WiFi and cable TV were good. Water pressure was poor. The laundry area was clean as was the entire park. Although this park has potential, we are not likely to return due to its location. There is no convenient shopping close by and not a lot to do in the park or the area. Several others we spoke with pointed this out as well. Many were staying mostly because of the very low monthly rate. All the staff we spoke with, were friendly and working hard to enhance the park.
Rate reflected Passport America rate for full hookups. This park was somewhat rustic but a pleasant change from the manicured sites we had been accustomed to. The park was clean and tidy with a pleasant small activity building. There were lots of paths and trails to walk and a paved bicycle trail was 4 miles away. The cable TV was marginal and we opted to use our antennae which provided a few more channels and a better picture. The water pressure was very low and we ended up using our RV water pump when showering. The park has 2 washing machines and 2 dryers. The dryer took 2 full cycles (on high) and the clothes were still damp so plan to wash on a day when the clothes can be hung out to dry. The pool was not heated. Wi-Fi was OK at the park hot spot. The staff were friendly and pleasant to deal with.
We camped here for the month of February. The park was quite busy, but because of its size, there were lots of empty sites. The park was kept clean, although garbage would sit for many hours at the waste cans waiting to be picked up. There were a lot of dogs, and some barked constantly but most were leashed. For the size of the park there are not a lot of washroom facilities and no showers at the pool to use after a swim. The sites were fairly level, but many of the concrete pads need to be replaced. The park is working hard to get picnic tables at each site. The sulfur smell from the springs was noticeable some days but was not overly obnoxious. The springs swimming area was fun to try and was very popular with the young crowd on the warm weekends. Of course along with the young crowd there is loud music which would be annoying if you were parked near the picnic areas. There is almost no security at the park, and since it is open to day users, we found this aspect disturbing although we never heard of any campers having any issues. The natural areas of the park are beautiful with lots of birds and fish to watch in the river. Canoeing and kayaking on the river is available. We probably would return to this park but only for a week.
Rate posted reflects Passport America discount. We were pleasantly surprised when we pulled in to this park. It was far better than we expected and we would definitely stay here again. The heated pool is new and nicely landscaped. Our site was an acceptable size, we had no problem with WIFI, staff were very friendly and helpful. There are approx. 40 new sites, all with grass, patios and paved roads. The older area has sites with shade, grass and patios as well. The waterfront area offers a place to snorkel, fish, launch boats or relax and watch the birds from the boardwalk or covered pavilion. A perfect place to watch the sunset. I would have given the park a higher rating if the few older, mossy trailers near the front of the park were not present. We did not see any one around these trailers, but they did distract from the overall appearance of that part of the park.
Above rate reflects Passport America discount. We hesitated to come to this park based on previous reviews advising of train noise and bad smells. We opted to take a chance and found neither of the above to be a problem for us. I would however recommend requesting a site towards the back of the park. We were very close to the road and road noise, particularly on the weekend from motor cycles was rather unpleasant. The park was clean, pool a good temperature and seasonal campers were friendly. We would not hesitate to return as we enjoyed our stay.
This is an attractive park with lots of interlock pavers, nice landscaping and large sites. The park is clean, the recreation center a good size with nice facilities. The pool is large. Lots of activities are offered. The park is convenient for going to the Theme parks. A Publix grocery store is only a couple of minutes away by bicycle or an easy walk or golf cart ride. Wi-Fi is good. This is our second visit to this park and we have had no complaints. Both times we stayed one week.
If you enjoy being away from it all, golf, tennis, a clean park with lots of clubs and activities then this could be the park for you. The only downside for short term campers is the camping area is more like an overflow area than an actual campground site. Camping is in a large mowed grassy field commonly referred to as the "hill". The roads are grass, there are no trees or shrubbery at all - nothing but posts with the hookups, which worked as expected. Everyone was very friendly,, but the campsites are disappointing - the place does grow on you though.
