Love this park!! The workampers were very helpful. It took some time to set up as the site was not level. Bathrooms and showers were clean. This is a nice shaded campground with a gated entrance. Lots of weekend tents with families. We will return. Easy access to Lees Summit, close to shopping and restaurants
This is by far the nicest Thousand Trails we have stayed at during our travels. It is a large preserve that is well taken care of. We are staying here as members of Resorts of Distinction, hence the nightly rate. I would hope in time they create more sites with 50 AMP and sewer, so the mad dash of moving sites wouldn't occur daily. We are here over the Labor Day Holiday. Not keeping the pool open for the entire weekend seems ridiculous. We would stay here again if in the area.
I loved this park. It gave me exactly what I needed. A place to rest and see the sights. The owners of this park are wonderful people and go out of their way to accommodate your needs. WiFi was excellent. They also prepared a sheet of local restaurants, grocery stores and attractions with directions. We will stay here again.
This is a typical casino campground but the surface was top notch. They have a wonderful laundry and they even pick up the garbage curbside daily. The office staff went out of their way to be helpful. Of course, if you get here after hours, you must go to the casino! I would stay here again if in the area.
We had a wonderful 5 day stay and will return if in the area. All amenities were clean and serviceable. All roads have been recently resurfaced and campsites remodeled. Swimming Beach was closed the entire time with no explanation.
Since I knew going in that there were no sewers, I can hardly score them down for not having them. Hence the 10. This campground is amazing from the rangers to the the maintenance crew. Everyone was so helpful. We were close to shopping and it took only 10 minutes to get into Nashville. This is a truly beautiful area and we will return if in the area.
I can't imagine why anyone would stay here. We lasted 2 days and that was 2 days too long. The power fluctuations were so bad I feared possible damage and I was on 50 amp. The roads are one pot hole after another and sites are unlevel. My rate reflects ROD membership. I will not return.
Most of the sites are in need of some work. Trying to get level was a undertaking. We ended up moving to another site that was slightly more level. Had a difficult time with Verizon coverage but air card worked. TV by antenna didn't occur. Staff were friendly and courteous. This park could use some landscaping detail and road work. Presently the only pool functioning is almost 2 miles from the campsite. They have a very nice Rec Hall in Phase II, too bad they charge to shoot pool. I don't think we would stay here again. Price reflects Resorts of Distinction Membership.
Lovely well groomed park. They have playground equipment for the children. Good paved roads and nice level sites. Great dump station prior to the entrance. Even though the campground was mostly full, it was quite and clean. We had a great time here and would have stayed longer had we not had reservations elsewhere. We would stay here again.
It was adequate for the over night stay that we needed. It was quite and the pond was clean and the ducks were happy. We parked at site #16 in the shade and we slept well. If we were in the area, we would stay again. Definitely not a destination spot. Our price reflects a Passport America Membership. We were not charged a pet fee.
Long and winding road into the campground. Not much around, it took me 20 minutes to get to Lee's Summit. Our site was level and shaded. The lake is so far away you forget there is one. We had a lovely time here, but I think we will try Fleming Lake on our next visit. Bathrooms were ok, but showers needed cleaning. The Camphosts were very friendly.
This is a lovely quiet setting. The staff were helpful and courteous. There is a lot of construction going on presently. The road going UP to the campground is miserable but I am sure it will be fixed when the Sports Arena is completed. The campsites themselves are spacious and could use some TLC. We had a large tree shaded site that was marvelous. TV by antenna was non existent and Verizon coverage was scant. Could have been our lovely site. There is a restaurant on site which we did not use, and the market could be better. They have 2 pools which are lovely. The Lake is nice and they have a sandy beach. They rent canoes and paddle boats for which I never found out prices. This will be a resort someday when all the construction is completed and some TLC is given to the RV section. Price reflects our Resorts of Distinction Membership. We would stay here again.
Sams Town is a basic park. It has wonderful hookups and spacious driveways. I didn't have much interaction with others since I was here to work. I would stay here again hoping the construction on Boulder Hwy is completed.
Very friendly Western Horizon Park. Sites are not level and they are difficult to level. The pool has never looked appealing to me and I have never been in it. I like the area due to Quail Creek State Park. Cost per night is a membership price.
This park is so clean and friendly. The crew were always working on something. Bathrooms and showers were first rate. No dog run but provided waste bags for your use. Swimming pool was bathtub warm. No hot tub. Price reflects a one month stay. Electricity was included in price. We will stay here again. It is by far the best Salt Lake has to offer.
The interior roads have not improved and doesn't appear to be on there list of things to do. The sites need rearranging and leveled. The laundry facilities are nice but too small for a park this size. The staff was friendly and helpful.
Some of the interior roads are bad but, the weather has been incredibly bad. The staff was very friendly and there were lots of activities. We stayed here with Resorts of Distinction membership. We would definitely stay again.
Very friendly and attentive. There are no sewer hookups, but the honey wagon arrives 3 times a week. This is not a resort and makes no such claim. The restrooms and showers were clean. The snow birders have created many activities that anyone can participate. Monthly rate of 250.00 including electricity makes this a incredible deal.
This is a Escapees membership park with lovely paved streets and level sites. They have a large clubhouse and plenty of social activities. Laundry facilities are exceptional due to brand new front loader machines. They also have a fenced area as a dog park. This is a marvelous 55+ park and we will return.
