We stayed in the Pine Tree Loop - full hook-up site. The sites were nice, lots of shade. Surrounded by pine trees so it can be some what tricky when parking the camper and when letting out the awning. Some of the camper pads could use some patching and leveling; ours was a little bumpy where the pavement was buckling a little. We love the fire pits and concrete picnic tables. The bike trail is nicely paved and not too hilly. The playgrounds are nice and shaded, this one needed some more wood chips but otherwise very nice. We will definitely return next year.
Campground located on Rend Lake. Sites were fairly well spaced and paved. This particular campground is in the middle of a Pine Forest so there were pine needles and pine cones everywhere, but not a huge problem. Bathrooms were fairly clean. Quiet, family friendly campground. Wonderful beach, bike trails and great fishing. We will definitely be back. The full hook-up sites book quickly.
One of our favorites! Nice quiet family park. If hiking on the trails wear good sturdy shoes. 1000 step trail is literally 1000 steps but worth the view from the top. Bathrooms were clean but could use a little paint. Hosts were friendly, Park Rangers were around and available if needed.
We stayed here in a Travel Trailer. Most sites are shaded and all are level, paved and easy to access. Restrooms were clean...there are newer handicap accessable shower houses and restrooms. The Cave is a must see for everyone. Playground equipment is newer and well kept...it is in the direct sun so during the summer use early in the morning or after sunset.
This is one of the best State Parks we have visited. The fishing is wonderful as are the trails. The sites are somewhat close but there is a nice open area in the center. The full-hookup area is nice and level for bike riding.
