This is a wonderful park located close to all points of interest in Charleston. The sites are large back-ends with extra large picnic tables and fire rings. Bike paths are numerous and there is a large lake for fishing (no license needed). Management was very friendly. We would stay there again!
I agree totally with the two previous reviewers! We arrived after dark and in a driving rain storm. We were soaked by the time we hiked to the office in the gas station. The roads in the park are very rough and poorly lighted for identification. We would not stay there again.
Although this park states it has over 200 sites, it looks much smaller. The roads are fairly rough and narrow. It is ok for a one night stay, but not a park I would stay in for longer. Management was nice and helpful.
