This is a clean, family-friendly, rustic park within 10 minutes of Wisconsin Dells attractions. It is suitable for big rigs, but pre-plan your route through the park to avoid getting in tight situations. Sites are spacious and level. The heated pool, kiddie splash pad, playground and mini-golf made it a nice place to bring the grandkids.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Stony Fork Creek. This six site RV park is nestled in the mountains of the Pisgah National Forest. It sits just off Hwy 151, Pisgah Highway, a lightly traveled scenic road that connects the town of Candler with the Blue Ridge Parkway. A stream borders the back of all sites. All sites are full hookup with 50 amp service. There's sufficient room between sites that you're not crowded. There are no additional amenities offered, but we're self-contained in our 38' motorhome, so don't need a bath house, and the drive to the nearest laundromat is a pretty one. The owner was exceptional - friendly and helpful. There are an abundance of sightseeing and hiking opportunities, some within walking distance, but most a short drive. We will make a point of staying here again, hopefully next fall when colors are again at their peak. One important note: Hwy 151 beyond this campground is not suitable for big rigs - too steep and very tight turns. Hwy 151 leading from Candler to the campground is nice, with the last mile or so narrowing but still suitable for big rigs.

Our site at this campground was in the back loop, and arriving after Labor Day, we had it nearly to ourselves. It's rustic, and we had daily visits from flocks of wild turkeys. Some mornings, they were accompanied by deer. The laundry/shower area is well maintained, as is the rest of the park. Camp Wi-Fi was marginal, but our MiFi pulled a strong signal. The owner and camp staff were friendly and helpful. We hope to return when we pass this way again.

We thoroughly enjoyed this park. Our site was at the back, bordered by National Forest Service property. It was peaceful and quiet - no road noise whatsoever. We had plenty of shade. The free Wi-Fi was marginal at best, but our Mi-Fi pulled in a strong signal. The laundry was clean, but limited to cold water only. Yes, it was dusty due to the dirt roads, but we stayed for 10 days and would definitely return. It was a peaceful haven between day trips exploring nearby Custer State Park and other local attractions.
