If you like a nice clean well organized park, this is the one. Nice pet areas, and if you like oranges then you can pick some when they're in season. Showers and bathrooms are very clean. This is one of very few RV parks that has a special area for washing your car or motorhome. Easy to find just off Hwy 58 leaving Bakersfield.
This is a very nice park in a rural setting. The cell service is rather sketchy, but if you walk up the nearby hills, it works fine (US Cellular or Verizon). If you desire to use your satellite dish ask for one of the sites with fewer trees. Other than a chorus of coyotes howling, this was the quietest park I've ever stayed in.
Stayed here for one night but then moved to another park. They seem to cater to snowbirds and yearly renters with those of us traveling taking a back seat. Pretty clean park but kind of noisy because of nearby streets. It would do them some good to use some insecticide in the park because I killed two black widows just trying to do all my hookups and I noticed a lot of the widows webs coming off of the yearly renters RVs.
This park is very clean and well kept. The beach is right across the street and well within walking distance. A small shopping center is about a mile from the park. We've stayed here twice in the past two years and really like it. From some of the sites you can see the ocean as well as the gorgeous sunsets.
This is one of our favorite campgrounds. The small town of Elkton is within walking distance of the park and the ocean isn't that far to drive to. Being right on the river is the parks biggest asset especially if you like to float or fish the river. Only drawback at all is that there really isn't a permanent or built in fish cleaning station. Overall park is quiet and very clean with great hosts.
