We camped here in the B loop (site 96) for the July 4th week. This is a great park, our site was easy to back in and had a path (kind of steep at the bottom) to the beach. TV and cell reception was surprisingly good for such a shaded and remote location. Bath houses were not air conditioned, but very clean and in good shape. There are several boat ramps in the park and kayaking/fishing was excellent! We stayed for 8 days and will definitely return. We did not find the boat noise a concern and it was a holiday week.

We camped here in the off season and had a wonderful time. I think the sites are larger than average for a private park and the bath houses are modern and clean. Lots of Halloween activities and a carnival! We stayed in the Main Deck section and it was fine, but will try the Club Castaway section next time. Staff and other campers were very friendly. Roads are paved and there is room to maneuver any sized rig.

Probably the prettiest park that we've ever stayed in. The camp hosts are so friendly that the park seems like one big happy family. The bath house was great, clean and large. Kayak rental and fishing was super fun! Hope we can come back sometime soon. Marathon is a short drive with plenty of stores and restaurants.

This is a fabulous state park. So much to do inside the park that you don't really need to leave to have fun. Snorkel, swim, fish, bike ride etc. all great times. If you can get a reservation here, enjoy it! Be sure to bring sun and insect protection.

This is a great park! Well cared for, friendly and clean. Pull thrus are large and level. We had no problems with noise from the trains. Would definitely stay here again.

This is a great stop over park. Large pull thru sites, easy off and on I-95. Easy access fuel stations at the same exit. The trenches mentioned in other reviews should be noted. I think they would be hard to see after dark, and care should be taken. Bathrooms and showers were old but clean and quite acceptable. People and staff were friendly and we enjoyed our night there. Unfortunately, the bird was on vacation when we were there. We would definitely stay here again.

We used this campground as a one night stop over. They have done a lot of improvements since the last time we were here; over 10 years ago. However, the landscaping, while attractive, has created an obstacle course for larger RV's. The gruff individual that led us to our site was of no help and I actually asked him to keep quiet as I could not hear my wife's directions. I also watched him lead a 43' Class A into an impossible turn which almost damaged the coach. The bathrooms and showers were fine and I don't think the permanent sites are a problem. However, I don't think we will return. The tight quarters and gruff staff is not what I consider relaxing.

A good stopover park. We stayed here on a return trip from Florida. Restrooms are clean but the showers are not very private. The train whistles were not disturbing to us. We found it to be a fun and friendly place. We would return.

We stayed here while visiting Savannah GA. The campground is beautiful! All the sites are landscaped and easy to get into. The staff was both friendly and helpful. We found the other campers to be very friendly. We would return here.

This is a great campground! We visited here last year and returned again this year. The campsites, facilities, people and springs are all fantastic. We will return.

This is the second time that we used this campground as a one night stopover on the way to Florida. It is very convenient to I95. It is an older campground but we found the facilities very clean and the staff very friendly. We would visit here again.

We were here for the Fourth of July week. Had a great time! Crowded of course, but the layout of the park gives you more room at your site than with most private parks. Outdoor and indoor pools, new this year is a snack bar that offers breakfast and lunch. We've stayed at the KOA next door for the last 3 years and we won't be going back. The concrete pads and paved roads make all the difference in the world for summer weather in the OBX. If the bath houses were air conditioned, I'd probably give this place a 10!!!

This was a first rate camping experience. The park and springs were beautiful. The campsites are large and level with full hookups. Swimming is allowed in the spring and the water is clear enough to see fish and other aquatic life easily. Bath houses were clean and well equipped. Can't wait to visit here again!!

A great stopover park. Easy off and on I95. Sites were level and pull-thru. The pool was covered and heated for use in colder months. Staff was very friendly. We would stay here again.
