POSITIVES: Easy directions and markings to Campground. Sites are gravel packed, no mud after it rained. No highway noise, very quiet. Friendly and helpful staff. Pizza is good at a fair price. NEGATIVES: PPA rate is over priced for an a la carte campground. Wi-Fi was very poor at 11mps for $4.95 a day for a single connection (only one device connected at a time). $3. Resort fee because it's a Encore campground, this is no resort. TOO MANY TREES make navigation very difficult and almost impossible to get satellite. An additional $2.50 for cable TV. Roads are in poor condition and leaves appear to be the same as when we were here last year: never getting cleaned up. The grass is over grown. Some long term tenants RVs look broken down and abandoned. Ok, for an overnight stop, will stay again. This campground could be a jewel with a little work, and eliminate the a la carte scenario.
The location and campground are great, and the staff is great. The sites are roomy and private lots of tree cover. The satellite dish would not work but cable TV worked. There is no motor home propane fill up, so we had to drive across town to fill up. The WiFi only worked in the office but was free.
Campground is located next to I-81 and next to a gas station but right on the New River. No privacy from people driving by or using the gas station. Level concrete pads. Good for an overnight stay if you need water, electric and dump station.
We paid Passport America rate. Campground is right on the New River, great for fishing and tubing. Sites are very narrow the 6 RV sites with gravel are level. Campground is very clean and well maintained. Water pressure was great, over the air TV reception is spotty due to mountains. Owner was very helpful and accommodating. Train noise was not a problem, we hardly even heard it after the first night. Would stay here again!!
Easy access to campground from I-95, all pull throughs and gravel sites. Was no mud at site after major rain storm the day before. Facility is dated but clean, pizza is good and staff very helpful. $2.50 extra for cable TV and $4.50 for WiFi. There were too many trees for satellite to work but still less cost over other nearby campgrounds. Great over night stay!
Beautiful campground, everything is new and well setup. Sites are paved, and large. Great winter rates for snowbirds. 15 miles to N. Myrtle Beach, 9 miles to Calabash where the best seafood in the area is.
Gated campground, with nice large private sites well groomed sand, friendly and helpful staff. Wi-Fi and cable TV connection was very poor. Convenient to St. Augustine. No propane fill up for RVs only portable tanks.
Friendly staff and clean facilities. Sites are nice and fit large rigs. They are working on expanding the Wi-Fi range, it works well by the office. Great spot for viewing shuttle and rocket launches. Can see dolphins and manatees from the shore and the dock. Will stay here again.
Friendly staff: we rented via their "bluewaterkey.net" website. A beautiful gated, spotless, well maintained facility with a dog park that is spotless. Had great Wi-Fi reception. Every spot in the facility is a 10. Paid $105 for 6 nights with the 7th night free. Will stay here again.
With friendly office staff, this park has large sites on grass, which are mostly occupied by mobile homes. Gated community, very clean and well maintained with easy access to I-95. Wi-Fi has poor to no reception. Overpriced for a overnight stopover on the way to the Keys.
Friendly staff and good food nearby within walking distance. Sites are right next to the highway I-95 and train tracks. Sites are paved, the surrounding area was very wet and soggy and there were lots of ants. No Wi-Fi, no cable TV. For the price, it is ok for an overnight stop.
