This park is a little tricky to get back to, roads narrow but not much traffic and worth the trip. Located on the Nolichucky River, the atmosphere was wonderful. Lots of trails and places to wander, several pull thru sites, not a lot of privacy on the pull thru's but the availability of sewer in a state park made up for the lack of trees between sites. The sound of the river running by as you sit at your campsite was truly awesome. One of my favorites so far

We spent a week here in April, quiet, relaxing, and very peaceful park. The pull thru sites were quite adequate for our 36' 5th wheel. There were many things to do, hiking, disc golf, fishing, a lodge, restaurant (not the best), but there were several good and inexpensive place's in Chapel Hill or nearby Lewisburg. Camp ground was very private, lots of trees between sites and the rangers patrolled the park, constantly doing drive thru's and waving, they seemed to do this into the night. Love this State Park!!
