The sites were very small and we were near the front of the campground and the road noise was awful. When we arrived we were told they could not fit us in the back and we had to be up front. But saw several big rigs being parked in the rear sites. Staff just too lazy to bother looking when checking us in. Pool was located directly on San Carlos Blvd and road noise was terrible. I thought the people at the campground were very clicky and not very friendly. The location of the campground was good and easy access to the trolley. But not sure I would stay here again.
This park was overall very good but I have several complaints. The laundry was disgraceful, dirty and very run down. I went into Big Pine to use the laundry in the Winn Dixie Plaza. Also, they have no store first night I drove into Big Pine to get bread 15 miles round trip. I don't agree with the other posters about the noise on weekends. The only weekend I experienced increased noise was on Presidents weekend. And I really didn't think it was that bad. There were several compounds around where they had furniture and appliances outside behind tarps but it didn't bother me. Spoke with several people that said in April the Cubans start coming down and it gets really bad then. We would definitely go back and hopefully they clean up the laundry and open a store!
This was a great and inexpensive park. My only complaint is no cable TV otherwise I could have stayed here for months. Our neighbor said you can stay as long as 5 months. Very good price for long term stay!
This was a very clean campground. My only dislike was the internet: you got 2 free hours daily, but it was difficult to sign on. Had very weak signals. Also, the bathroom cleaning schedule was 8:30 am to 10:00 am daily: had to get up early to get a shower.
We stayed here for 2 nights. Very pricey. The bathroom facility was dirty. The internet was weak and we had to use our Verizon card. Site was uneven and did not have a picnic table. I asked at the office about a table they responded with, "It is first come first serve." We finally got a picnic table the second night. We would not stay here again.
Very clean sites. On gravel and stones full hook up. I was very surprised that when we pulled in the person across the street was using the cable TV hookup for our site. I unplugged the cable and the guy came flying out of his camper and said I am paying for that and we said yeah so are we so he went to the office and they gave him a splitter. That is my only complaint.
Sites were clean but old and in need of repairs. Laundry was poor: needed to dry clothes twice, so it took 1 & 1/2 hours to dry clothes. Very annoying. We stayed 1 night. WiFi connection was very good.
Sites were very small and the red sandy dirt just stuck to everything. But the dirt issue was the whole area, not just campground. WiFi signal was not strong, used my Verizon card here. We stayed here 4 nights.
We stayed here one night. Originally we were planning on 2 nights, but got a refund for the 2nd night. The office staff was very pleasant and helpful. This park was easy access from the interstate but was just too close to the road and we heard the cars and trucks on the interstate all night. Really did not like the area. We would not go back again.
We stayed here 2 nights, not sure I would have lasted any longer. This is a noisy campground in the mornings. Trucks coming and going at 5:30-6:00 am, were very loud and woke me up both mornings. Sites are very close and all concrete. Office staff was very nice and helpful.
Great campground close to other Gulf coast beach towns. No cable TV or Wi-Fi available. Campground very clean and staff very friendly. We had 1 night and moved to another site for 2 nights. Would definitely stay here again.
We stayed here 2 nights. It has very clean sites, close but adequate space for short term stays. There are very bright lights all night long which was very annoying and made for a poor night sleep! This was the reason for 6/10 rating. Internet and cable tv were excellent. The Office/store closes very early on Saturday 3:30 pm. I would stay here again overnight only.
We stayed one night while traveling down I95. It seemed a little further off I95 then advertised by the route marked. It is a clean campsite but sites are very close together in the pull through area. There is very friendly staff and we would stay there again.
Stayed here 1 night. Easy access off SR-27. Clean with extremely helpful owners. Small campground and the owner helps direct you into the site. All back-in sites on stone parking site and trash receptacle available. No cable TV available in the area. Would highly recommend this campground.
We stayed here for 5 nights. Very clean and friendly staff. Laundry facilities were clean and average priced. We stayed in the grassy area and did not feel crowded. Although, the pull through sites seemed very close. Wi-Fi was not very strong signal and was very slow, we used our own. Very convenient to stores and theme parks. We did not go to any theme parks. Would stay here again and recommend to friends and family.
